Some of you may know him as the Shipmaster, this Sangheili is the true meaning of how to be an Elite. He is the bravest of the brave and Thel’s right hand man, Rtas needs to be in Halo 4.
Rtas has some of the best lines of the games and I don’t know about you but I’m most interested in his character than anyone else. Halo 4 is perfect for him to have a main part.
I think if 343 use Rtas they should make him play a “Keyes” role, as the leader of the movement in Halo 4. Please post here if you want to give support for the Shadow of Intent and his Shipmaster.
At first I thought he would be in Halo 4, but after reading Glasslands I’m not so sure. Hopefully “Glasslands 2” when it’s released later this year will clear up on what happened to him at the end of Glasslands.
I personally don’t see why he would ever be considered a main enemy in Halo 4. Its the reclaimer trilogy, which may include covenant, but as 343, the covenant will be the least of our worries. I would not care either way if he was or wasn’t in the story, I just see no possible way how he would be a main character

I didn’t say he would be an enemy. He would be playing a “Keyes” role.

Canon-wise, he’s a good fighter.
In gameplay, he’s not as useful as H3 Arby. Also, getting knocked off the level means he’s gone for good (although I suppose this is better than frequent teleporting). I like the fact that he can’t one shot you after you turn on your allies.
If he returns in gameplay, he should have his Sangheili shield gauntlet instead of being a damage sponge. He shouldn’t be invincible all the time. And he should spawn with the sword.

Agreed.

He’s a leader not a follower. I want to fight alongside him, not babysit all the time. But yes, he should stick with me (except in some cases) instead of running ahead and dying.
The fact he’s a leader means he would play a “Keyes” role, as someone needs to play it now. However he could come to ground at times, but we could venture way more into his character.
Halo 2 introduced awesome characters, I only wish that they were as good in Halo 3.

However, Rtas can’t go the way of Keyes.
Fun Fact: Half Jaw lost his jaw when attacked by his infected squad mate Kusovai cut it off with an energy sword. For a guy that has fought the Flood and won, losing would be anti climatic.

I don’t mean he would die, I mean he would be the one in charge.
