Is there anywhere on this forum where a RP can be played? By RP I’m referring to role play. A story-like composition of many posts from different people playing a character. I didn’t see any forums better to ask than the GD so here it goes…
Ain’t so such thing been done in these here forums yet.
But I suppose it could indeed fly here in GD. Dunno if anyone would like it though. I sure love to RP at least.
Role play is fun. I love doing it on Big Team. I just RVB most of the game. Basically I just act scared and hide and talk in the base…

Unless the Mods disagree, this should become the brainstorming thread. First topic of discussion: what generation are we?
Options: Spartan 1
Spartan 1.1
Spartan II
Spartan III
Spartan IV
On the other hand, having multiple generations (perhaps without the appearance of Spartan 1s and 1.1s) would probably add more depth and diversity in the story. Discuss!

I would suggest doing this in “Community Creations” section…
If something like this would come to manifest and be active somewhere in these forums, it damn well better be good collaborative fiction. I can tell this to ya right now; nothing more I hate than RP newkids spamming one liners between each other on a forum.

If 343 were to have it’s own Flood, (My god, imagine all the obscenities.) it should be called Food Nipple. I DECLARE IT SO!
OT: A RP? I don’t seem to recall this happening in GD at all. Then again, I don’t come here too often. Typically, I rage at people’s rage in the H4 section. I’d ask a Mod about something like this.

The mods are going to allow this for now…as long as it stays civil and doesn’t get too out of hand. We’ll be watching though

Nice idea OP. I approve. So here’s my .02 on this:
I’d recommend starting with a S-III soldier scenario. Any time will do, for the following reasons:
- Halo: Reach introduced a basic concept of abilities people who haven’t read the novels can be familiar with.
- Novels speculation indicate most of the S-III’s died at some point, further, most is not all. This makes it easier for people to tie an appropriate ending to what they would ideally like to do.
- S-II’s are of a specific and distinct class, the only way for someone to be a S-II is if they had been kept under lock and key the entire time and perished in just the same circumstances.
- S-I’s and I.I’s are not as interesting or appealing to people without doing some research to find out the various circumstances for the entire program.
- S-IV’s is still fairly loose and will allow much leverage room if we talk about basic missions and operations the UNSC would configure.

No flaming another individual. What they say is what they do. Once its posted, its done and their turn is over.

Anyone can join at any time, but not under a reason similar to, “You simply didn’t notice me.” Give an introduction worthy of the Spartan or Elite your RPing.

No pre-req history required to participate, but if you do want people to know, go ahead and type it up. If questioned about it and you have no answer, simple answers like: “I don’t remember. Only all the fighting.” are ok.

One storyline, two branches: UNSC and Covenant.

Introductions into a combat scenario require poster to read and understand all the events pertaining to the scenario and they are not coming in from behind. A flanking position is generally preferable.

Anyone can join or leave at any time. We simply will move on. If a new page has been formed since your past post, your considered out of combat and need to reintroduce yourself.
