RP and XP For Forging

Being a Forger myself, I am not as high a level as I would like. Nor do I have many REQ cards. This annoys me since I do still play Warzone and Arena. In Arena, it’s not so bad, but in Warzone, I am left I the dust due to my lack of REQs. This is why I believe that we should earn RP and XP for Forging.

How it would work is by, every time you line an object up with another one, you earn a few points. This would mean that you couldn’t just AFK in Forge and get to level 200, you would have to be doing something.

Another way it would work is by downloads. Every time somebody bookmarks your map or game-type, you earn a few points.

Tell me what you think about this, are you bothered? No?

I like it.

Not sure if getting points for a download should be that simple, but I can see where you’re going.

I liked both ideas. Idea #1 would’ve earned me some good points by now. Not so much from #2

Its the same for me. Due to the lack of a File Browser, getting your map recognized is pretty difficult.

I haven’t touched forge yet because it didn’t reward me with RP and XP, so I understand you

Still pretty fun to mess around in. It’s very satisfying seeing your creations as they near completion.

That’s true. But I would still like a separate reward for Forging.

With option 1, couldn’t I just hop in forge for like 20 minutes and build a massive mess and farm the system for points?

It’s probably a bit too boost sensitive. People will always find exploits in getting exp/points from singleplayer games (e.g Campaign and Forge).
Unless they got for the abysmal amount of exp you got in Halo: Reach for these activities…

Like what people, myself included, did with the Sword Base farm method with the Target Locator?

This is why I’m beginning to lean to option 2.

This just seems kind of silly. XP and RP are related to playing and completing matches, so tying it forge seems strange.

They did it in Reach, and it didn’t work very badly.

Although, the problem with option 2 is that people could just get a friend to download all their maps.

giving rp and exp for custom games would be nice but it wouldnt work with things like duckhunt and jenga tower. however it would work with mongoose sumo, speedfiesta end other maps where its free for all or teams (1 or 2 vs the rest doesnt count as “teams” in my opinion)

Well, I certainly support the idea of Cartographers earning a very large chunk of RP/XP for stuff that makes its rounds via matchmaking or sheer popularity

As for earning like Reach, not sure how it’d be done, but I don’t mind the idea. Heck, giving out Bronze Packs everyone once in a while for ain’t half bad?
