RP Adjustments: Arena vs Warzone

Now I understand that Warzone deserves more points considering Req-Weapons/Vehicles are being used during the match but I still feel like Arena doesn’t even come close to what it should be.

Yesterday, I played a couple matches of Warzone that lasted roughly 2min each. One was in Assault and the other in normal Warzone. One was a victory from destroying the core and the other was a loss with the same result. Now for these 2min matches I received roughly 2,000 Req points. Awesome, right?

Now today, I played a few qualifying matches in SWAT that lasted the normal duration(maybe 5min, give or take) and I received on average 800-700 Req points. Also, I’ve found that when I played Slayer the payouts are a bit better with payouts of roughly 800-900 Reg Points. Not too bad, but I still feel like I’m getting screwed for my efforts.

Where I feel wronged is that Arena places you in matches that put you with people roughly the same skill level and is suppose to be more of a challenge and Warzone is more “kick your feet back and enjoy the chaos” kind of game-play. You can literally drive around on a mongoose the entire match, win, and get upwards of 2,000+ RP. Arena required you too communicate, win, and fully participate to get any type of recognition. Not only is my/our rank at stake but games are more “sweaty” and stressful than the “skip through the daisies” gameplay that is Warzone. All I’m asking for is a type of either Win bonus or consecutive game bonus for Arena. If I’m playing in a tier where my skill is put to the test and I win 3,4, or even 5 games in a row I should be rewarded via a couple extra req points for my efforts. As it sits right now I have to complete roughly 6 games of Arena to by a Silver pack where Warzone takes a little more than 2 games to accomplish the same reward.

Thoughts?

Generally warzone games last 15-20 minutes. Unless there is a crazy mismatch or an organized team against a bunch of solo players, that’s pretty consistently the case.

You’re definitely not being screwed. By your own “average” for SWAT you’re getting a similar amount.
Your choice to play competitive playlists over the social warzone playlist does not entitle you to more points. 6 games of arena at 5 minutes apiece and 2 games of warzone at 15 minutes apiece are the same amount of playtime and should be rewarded similarly

Every game of Arena is more intense and has your rank at steak. Warzone is a wonderland of ridiculousness that doesn’t require anything but participation. There is no sense of entitlement, it is a sense of work ethic. If I work harder than the next person for the same amount of time and are facing more difficult opponents I along with anyone else playing in Arena should be compensated appropriately. Just to be clear, I play and enjoy Warzone for what it is. I have nothing against it. When a player like myself and others are going against Diamond and Onyx opponents every game I truly believe we should be compensated for it when the next are playing people who at times seem like they barely know how to hold a controller.
