THIS IS JUST THE INTRO TO THE GAME AND IS AN UN FINISHED ROUGH DRAFT
-It has been roughly 12 months since the events of requiem –
Prologue: Chief is praised for his actions on requiem, for defeating the Didact, a living breathing forerunner if only for a moment and stopping him from destroying all life on earth once again, something John is used to at this point. He had lost Cortana to the Didact and was left without an AI and damaged armor. Halsey has been composed into an AI since the events of Spartan ops and has been helping the UNSC develop new Spartan technology based on the information they recovered from Requiem and its inhabitants.
Halo 5 starts at a kind of sad tone, the Master chief is back, a living legend aboard the Infinity and back on earth, but his mission is far from over.
John suits up in a new set of armor long overdue, the under suit is a mix of forerunner and human technology, it is still black and rubbery looking but with the defining forerunner lights pumping up and down the back and sides. His over armor, is bulkier in places and swifter in others. The torso piece hugs his body more and is a bit more streamlined while his shoulder pads have a change in design, they are larger and look more like the bulkier of Halo 4’s armor concepts. John uses the same machine the Spartans use to suit up with the help of the scientists. When the over armor is added there’s a scene showing it “hooking up” to the under armor and the Forerunner lights activating in the over armor, but its hardly noticeable unless you pay attention (Too keep from becoming too forerunner oriented and less human tech looking). He walks out of the room depressing music playing as he walks through the halls by himself to symbolize the loss of Cortana and how it’s been affecting him, no one knows what he’s been through, no one but her. When he gets on deck there is sort of a “wow” scene for everyone on deck. John approaches Lasky and is offered to take a copy of Roland with him as an AI, he refuses subtly.
Lasky slightly suprised briefs John on his mission (The player doesn’t know) . The scene changes to John being lowered on a platform like Sarah was in episode 9 of Spartan ops, it then jumps to chief dropping in a Re-designed ODST pod with other Spartans, the mood changes from sadness to that master chief badass tone we’re used to. The scene cuts out before showing what planet their dropping on.
The scene switches to Jul’Mdama .
It’s a Covenant rally showing also similar to Halo 2’s but this time its for a much different reason. “For too long have the humans fought back and rebelled against our constant attacks, killing our brothers and obliterating our armies, these insects must perish. We, we have something the humans do not. We have a GOD! We have the Didact on our side, and we will not fail him, we will destroy the humans, destroy their ships their colonies and their home world, WE WILL GO ON THE GREAT JOURNEY!. I am the Didact’s hand, you shall be his weapon…We will make our enemies pay for for awakening the Didact…
During Jul’s speech the camera moves around showing all the Covenant species in their multiple armor sets, the higher ranks sitting higher up and the lower ranks doing the opposite. In the crowd also showed new sub species of Jackal and grunt, also a new covenant species.
The scene cuts out and fades in to Jul’Mdama bowing before a shadowy figure (The Didact) “Have you prepared your warriors?”
Yes Jul awnsered.
“Good then let us begin”
The Didact raises from his chair/Throne hesitantly, still wounded with his damaged armor.
The scene cuts out to the covenant ship their on going into slipspace and ends up on the other side. The Didact rises and looks through the window (Energy window, plasma field, whatever you want to call it) and looks down on the planet they hover above, it had a grey metallic reflection hinting at something.
The scene fades to black.

I wish you people would stop making your own scripts.
They wont happen
>
People don’t make their own scripts because they think they’ll happen. They make them to speculate on future Halo games and for fun. If you don’t like them, ignore them.
Good stuff man, ignore the haters.
Not the most professional or clean, but I like the content so far. Keep it up!
Pretty cool idea; not the greatest organization and cleanliness, but cool ideas. Keep going!
Might want to get that moved to the General Discussion Forum, seems to be the most appropriate place for Halo 5 related thing. But yeah, just organize it better and you’ll have a nice little script.
And BribableDuke497, quit being rude to people, it’s against the rules.
IMO I think anyone who has creative thoughts such as this should be working with 343 and getting paid to do it. It reminds me of the fanfiction website I wrote a Halo story on a while back. There are lots of creative people out there, some even more creative than those hired by studios to make such stories come alive.
Thank you all for the positive feedback,it really helps me a lot. I will take organization into consideration and fix the problems.
Stay tuned for part two!.
It’s kind of interesting how I saw some similarities in your story with how I thought Halo 5 would start. I initially thought Halo 2 was dark when I played it.
The marshalling of the Covenant Insurgency by the Didact is on par with my theories. Although, I don’t think Chief will get another AI, not even in Halo 5. Once again, I have emphasized on here that that Cortana may still be alive and that there is the possibility that there’s a second composer out there which functions better than the Didact’s. That may be to come in Halo 6 - where I think it could be used to convert a shard of Cortana back into human form.

I’m going to have the other AI part of the story be an emotionally important part of the story so stay tuned for what I have planned for that I have no doubt cortana is still alive, but she’s still rampant maybe Mendicant level but I’ll add too this later.
Great minds think alike?
I have kicked around the thought that Mendicant Bias may still be alive on the Lesser Ark. If it was heavily damaged and a UNSC salvage crew managed to find 343 Guilty Spark, what if Mendicant Bias also stowed away in the system core with Chakas as the ship left to search for the Librarian.
Afterall, Mendicant was seeking atonement for what he had done. What if his second chance was retribution against the Flood and Precursors? What if he comes out later on, just as 343 did, to warn about their existence on Installation 07 and that the firing may have released them from containment [just as what happened with the Primordial on Charum Hakkor]?

Personally I belive his dying wish was to send chief to Requiem. I wouldn’t mind having him be stowed away though on the ship with chakas, but I would want him to have a small but very important role, maybe a final warning before he offs, I think that would be pretty dark (Although a little cliche. I’m going to PM you the main idea that my idea of Halo 5 is centered around so I don’t spoil anyone who is looking forward to it.
Replied. I think it would make a great story. If I were 343, I’d be looking for new hires right now with new ideas to introduce to their existing team.
There’s one thing that bugs me. We really have had no real final battle, or ending boss. Tartarus in Halo 2 was nothing.
I’m talking about a full scale armageddon on THE Gravemind… a general, or king of all Flood. It would have to be massive. It would take combined forces to destroy it, all species and factions united against one common enemy, which will secure the Mantle.
Of course, once again, a Halo 6 thing. As for 5, we need the Arbiter to reprise his role.

A gravemind is kind of what your describing, its the “voice and mind” of the flood. I think a good final boss would be a faber gravemind, not a precurssor so it would still leave room for expanding on their story in the main game while still dealing with the threats of pure form flood. I’m not saying we should not see precursors but just not kill em leaving nothing for future Halo’s, having a precursor kind of become the new gravemind of the series would be great though.
