I wanted to talk about the rouge covenint teams that attack master chief in the HALO 4. i found out they are called STORM! hence the storm rifle, the newly released storm jackal and any other covies we get to slaughter!!!

Give me your opinion on the STORM and what you think they are after on REQUIEM!!!

Thirdly, If I had to guess, I would think that they represent splinter teams from the Covenant civil war. Based on the books and other canon, there are separate factions with separate goals after the Human/Covenant War. Makes sense that one of those factions (or more) would send their own teams to Requiem to see whats going on.

The video was good, but was the info it had official? I haven’t been following every piece of news, but I had never heard the term “Storm Jackal” until that video.
To make a very long story short(er), after Halo 3 the Covenant kind of broke down. Between the Brutes betrayal, the Prophets betrayal, and the dissolution of the entire Covenant faith, all of the Covenant species went into crisis. The Elites in particular were divided; some wanted to follow the Arbiter, others wanted to form their own “faction” with separate (and somewhat complicated) goals. As a result, there are now several factions within the Elites, not even taking into account what may or may not be happening with the Brutes, Prophets, Grunts, and other species.
All I’m trying to say is that there are really unlimited story possibilities for why those particular Covenant forces were on Requiem
I know its bens aid so many times but, these jackals look like dromeosaurs (wich is cool, the dromeosaur is my favorite group of dinosaur),
This is what I think…
After the war the covies were in basically a depression, the prophets gone, the ark gone, and there lovley forrunner tech that some of the covies still love. I remember hearing somewhere that SOME elites, grunts, jackals, and other species, STILL believe in the prophets ideodecy… so the Storms broke off and called themselves STORM…they find chief in 2557 and attack him because he is a reclaimer (human). They land on requiem and start searching for some mythical forrunner weapon wich is gaurded by the prometheans and plausibly the DIDACT! The covies want it so they can go back and destroy the humans… the prometheans are not happy about that so it becomes a three way fight. Infinity crashes, they find the weapon, destroy it, Didact shows up, he says, “I have long dreamt of this day reclaimer!” chief epiclly pulls out a battle rifle, And game over…
I know it has nothing to do with storm or in between H3 and 4, but i just thought i should add it!
