Why didn’t just point the rookie directly to Dare’s or Alpha 9’s location? I mean, the superintendent pointed the rookie to some hints of where the members of his squad were hours before. Why not point directly to kikowani station or the Data Hive?
To put it simply: that would have cut the game short by several hours.
The Superintendent DOES point the way. He’s also in ‘Extended Event Monitoring’ mode and was in the process of having much of his higher VERGIL AI functions absorbed by the Engineer. He does NOT have the capacity, even in the Audio Logs BEFORE he was damaged by the Covenant invasion, to communicate directly with humans. He’s always had to use context clues and sound bites and other environment data in order to communicate. He can’t even fully communicate to the Rookie via text information, again, given the state he is in and the classified status of Dare’s mission.
But yes, the Super DOES point the way to each squad member. He gives the player a rough location marker and then provides guidance in the form of street signs, crosswalks, sound notifications and car alarms to help guide you to each area and Audio Log.
If you failed to have any attention to these details, that’s on you, not the Superintendent or the game itself.

The question he’s asking is why the Superintendent didn’t just point directly to Kikowani station or Data Hive.
My answer is because of gameplay reasons.
And that’s the STORY reason for it for the gameplay. The Super gives the Rookie a general heading and then has to rely on utilizing the emergency systems of New Mombasa because of the damage the AI has suffered during the invasion and his subsequent transfer of information into the Enginner that was repairing him. He had no other means of saying “hey your squad is here” and telling the Rookie to go to the shipyard down the highway or go directly to the Data Center.

Mmm that does not answer the question. May be I was not clear, what I mean is: Why not put a navpoint to Dare’s or Alpha Nines’s location since the begging?

Yeah, however, I would like a lore reason or some kind of speculation.

Yes, it absolutely answers your question in EVERY form of it beyond ‘lol gameplay’. Because he CAN’T. The Superintendent was DAMAGED by the Covenant invasion, and he was operating largely under a emergency standby mode, which was f**urther impeded by the highly classified nature of Dare’s mission.**He did the absolute best that he could in guiding the Rookie to each area in New Mombasa as he could. If you cannot understand this, in these very simple terms, then I really don’t know what else to say to you. This is the answer you’re looking for.

Actually you are not answering the question. The Superindented indeed guided the Rookie via nav-points and street signs towards hints of Alpha 9’s location. Why not do the same but guiding him towards Dare’s or Alpha 9’s location since the beginning?
Pd: No need to be hostile when answering.
I don’t know how to make it easier for you to understand. He was DAMAGED and forbidden to access any details regarding Alpha 9’s mission. His functions were extremely limited not only by the damage he had suffered during the invasion but BECAUSE DARE AND ALPHA 9’S MISSION WAS CLASSIFIED TOP SECRET. He didn’t have the clearance, even if he wasn’t damaged, to otherwise reveal mission relevant details to anyone other than Veronica Dare or any other ranking Office of Naval Intelligence officer that had clearance. If you don’t believe me, or rather, you refuse to believe me because you don’t want to admit that I’ve been right about this all along, please check the Superintendent’s Halopedia page for the information.
This is what you’re looking for. This is the EXACT answer and explanation for why the Superintendent doesn’t point to the shipyards down the highway or the Data Center entrance. If you cannot understand this, then you’re either non a native English speaker and something is getting lost in the translation, very young, or just incapable of understanding, for which I feel sorry for you.

Because the Superintendent can only use preset phrases and symbols to guide people with. Its also because its a Superindentent Class AI suited for maintaining a city and not desgined for military pursuits. The cameras it uses likely used to patch directly to the NMPD before the Invasion of Earth had begun and the preset messages it gives out are generally related to city life.
In short the AI isn’t designed to do that and thus cant.
Also Alpha Nine were constantly on the move and Dare was holed up underground in a facility that doesnt have straightfoward directions.
and also gameplay purposes I think

I know he is a dumb IA but, If he could guide him with street signs and data nav points to the places where his squad was hours ago, why not do the same but towards kikowani station? I think they were over there when the Rookie woke up. Since the first time I played it was never clear to me why the superintendent pointed to places long abandoned like Tayari plaza.
Yeah, the clear answer is gameplay, but maybe some kind of in lore answer?
If the actual answer and then speculation across multiple posts and users is not enough for you, then I seriously doubt you’re ever going to get a post response that satisfies you.
Did the rookie ever talk?

I take it that you’ve never read Evolutions and New Blood since you asked that question.

Nope I’ve only played the games

Not in the game.
It’s all in the writing. The game would’ve been a lot shorter.
