I was just looking around Waypoint and I noticed the Roll Call forum wasn’t to be seen. I didn’t see it under “community” where it usually is and when I searched for it I recieved an error message. Was it removed? If so why wasn’t it posted somewhere?
Perhaps it got removed because it was either underused or abused. Anyone’s guess really.

Roll Call disappeared almost 10 days ago and you’re the first person to ask about it. Which tells me that removing it has had very little impact on the forums overall.
It was a slight premature disappearing but I decided to just roll with it once I realized no one noticed.
This has resulted in pretty much nothing changing other than way less spam for my mods to clean up. 
I didn’t even notice it was gone. No roll call sounds like a perfect time to do a little AWOL, lol. Run!
I can see why from a spam perspective but I have not been there in a while.

Makes sense, thanks for letting me know.
I did notice it had been removed, and pm one of the mods, but never got an answer. I do realize that the mod team is very busy so I fully understand. I was a frequent user of the roll call section, and can attest that it was not used as intended.

I did see your PM, sorry, but yeah things have been pretty busy over the last week. Wasn’t sure if / when we were going to talk about it being removed 
I noticed this too and figured it was because all those conversations could be had on other more focused forums on Waypoint.

I gonna just add to the fire. I have been here since like 2014 or 15… there was a roll call forum? Kinda redundant with the recruiting forum no?

Nah. Roll Call’s purpose was to be a subforum for introductions, where new forum-goers could post a little about themselves and be welcomed by the community. Recruiting was always meant to be a place where you could find other people to play with. If anything has become redundant, it’s the Recruiting and Spartan Company subforums, as both now are both mostly used for recruiting into clans/Spartan Companies.

Ah ok, ya I can see SC and recruiting being redundant. Though I guess SC is purely for the Companies while general recruiting could be for other things like custom games or just a normal Halo clan. Though obviously that doesn’t mean they will be used in such ways.

That’s exactly what I mean. Recruiting was supposed to be for things like custom games, partying up for multiplayer or co-op, etc. Instead it’s just used as another Spartan Co. subforum.
