Rogue Covenant and Promethean's cooperating?

I was watching a video from The Halo Council and I noticed something that got my attention.

Take a closer look at this.

As you can see, there is a Grunt, and behind him, there is a Promethean Knight standing. They don’t seem hostile.

Could this point out that the Rogue Covenant will cooperate with the Promethean A.I, or maybe control it? (they won’t control them most likely because 343i said the Covenant isn’t the biggest threat)

That is a very nice find! Very interesting too. I have no clue what else to say about it.

Hmm, maybe the Knight was sneaking up on the Grunt and was getting ready to attack him?

I can’t way I would enjoy the possibility of this new Covenant teaming up with the Prometheans.

There is nothing there which suggests cooperation. It just shows the Promethean in the background and then the Grunt turns to face him. For all we know the Grunt was startled and open fired. We have seen video showing Elites being assassinated by Promethean Knights so I highly doubt there is any kind of cooperation going on at all.

In that clip, the grunt seems to be turning backwards, probably to face the knight. An ambush seems much more likely than an alliance.

I just pointed out a possibility. Humans and Elites killed each other too, but ended up with cooperation against the Prophets and the Covenant.

I didn’t say there was cooperation between the Covenant and the Prometheans, I just said they could be cooperating. The clip can be one or the other, I can’t say. That is why I posted this. To hear your opinions.

I’ve always thought that the Promethean-Covenant relationship would be the same as the Flood-Covenant relationship in that they’re hostile not only to you, but to each other as well.

But A.I could be easier to control. It is A.I after all, not an infection.

Judging from the E3 Demo, I don’t think Promethean Knights sneak-up to enemies. They attack straight forward.

Who says that they’re AIs? In fact, 343 Industries have hinted at them not being simple AIs, but something more… Perhaps the mind of actual Forerunner Prometheans stuck inside a machine?

I’m sure the Prometheans are intelligent enough to think of more than one strategy/tactic, don’t you agree?

But it didn’t seem from the video that they are really sneaking. I know this isn’t a good argumentation, it is an opinion. I think further discussion would be pointless since I can only give an opinion now, seems like we reached a dead-end here.

As for that other sentence, I agree.

I thought I heard in the Sparkast that Knights will straight-up rush you head on, while the rest will try to flank?

Really? That kinda helps my theory then I guess. Thanks.

27 seconds in, an elite is being killed by a promethian.

Not a bad theory, since the UNSC and Elites teamed up, but still…

Maybe it wasn’t sneaking.

The Grunt just wasn’t paying attention, and was only beginning to turn and realize he was about to be attacked.

I don’t know. Most likely you are right, but the slight possibility is still there I’d say.
