They feel like they’re going half the speed of the rockets in the other games. in a game where people can now sprint at double the speed of normal halo matches. Why is the rocket so slow? It’s not that it’s awful or anything but it’s just really jarring after playing every other halo except 5. what are peoples’ thoughts on this? Would you want it back at the regular speed? Personally I would just because people can sprint in this halo, so it’s already easier to potentially dodge a rocket. The rocket itself doesn’t need to be slower too.
After playing enough Halo 5 to get 152, I absolutely do not want rockets to be faster. The only thing worse than your rocket being slow is getting sniped from halfway across the map by a rocket. Also keep in mind that the faster the spartans are, the faster the rockets have to be. Halo Infinite’s rockets feel really similar to Halo 3’s to me.
Halo 3 is my last experience with rockets, and they feel extremely slow in comparison. Again, I think it’s because everyone can sprint around in this one, basically meaning rockets are useless to anything except vehicles and close-range.
How far away are you trying to use rockets from? It would be best if it was something like 1-3 warthogs away from you. Any further than that and it will be very difficult to hit anything.
My favorite is the close range detection problems where they will either not register a kill (double KO obviously) or sometimes it will seem like the rocket doesnt fire (no sound) at all.
about 2 warthogs I guess? But the point is people can sprint now so they can just dodge it. The only way to kill someone with a rocket is if they don’t see it or you’re close enough to kill yourself with it.
I personally never have a problem with people dodging rockets. Best of luck on future rocket shooting though.
Idk if they are going slower, but if they are, it might be to compensate for the repulsor. One of its coolest uses is to throw slow-ish projectiles back at the enemy. If they make rockets faster, it could unbalance the repulsor.
Just my thoughts.
Rockets still feel inconsistent, having a Rocket disappear into a Scorpion is not a fun experience

My issue with the spanker is the radius of it and the challenges on maps. Shooting rockets and the blast radius kills me, but not my opponent is extremely frustrating. Most times if we can I encourage a team mate to pick up the rockets because I end up killing myself having them.
Repulser doesnt even have a long range, whenever I am using it to launch a rocket I always feel like “IM gonna repulse this and get a kill, he wont even know what hit em” 2 seconds later "What the crud!!! It was a foot away, how did I die???

Yeah the repulsor’s range is a bit hard to gauge. It might help if its visual FX were more defined.
