Is it possible that the Rocket Pistol will replace the Grenade Launcher? We haven’t seen much of it yet, but it seems to work in a similar way. Judging from the E3 footage you can detonate it similar to the Grenade Launcher, and it is a single shot like it too. The Grenade Launcher receive much love in Reach, I would love to see it back and I’m sure many others would as well, so it only makes sense to include it in some form.
Hope not, I love the grenade launcher <3

Well it wouldn’t be such a bad thing, considering they work in similar ways from what we’ve seen. I wouldn’t mind it, even though I would love it if they just gave us the Grenade Launcher in Reach again.
I think both will return to the game even though they have the same niche. They bought back the dmr and the br which serve the same purpose as well so who knows maybe they will bring both back
Grenade launcher was one of the new things I liked in reach.

That’s true. But in my opinion the DMR and BR are different enough to include both, while the Rocket Pistol and Grenade Launcher seem to work much more similarly.
I dont think it will be a new gun, i think it will be equipment or a grenade type that you just attach to the pistol
If you played Cal of Duty: World At War, there’s an attachment for Rifles called the Rifle Grenade, where you have an extended barrel on your gun to attach a grenade that launches when you pull the trigger. This might be the case with the “rocket pistol”.

How can the pocket pistol be a grenade launcher? I always thought it was a futuristic hand held RPG.

Not that we know how the new weapon works yet though, it looks like it might be a mix of grenade launcher and Plasma Grenade, which could be cool.
It’d be a shame for them to not bring back the Grenade Launcher, it’s such a cool weapon!
For all the people who like the grenade launcher, can you tell me what button you press to make it not bounce 50 times way past your target? The hold fire/mine thing is impossible to put where you want.

I think it’s a different model to the Magnum. I don’t think you can add attachments either.

I don’t hold the trigger, I just press it once to fire. That way, the grenade only bounces once before exploding, and it’s pretty easy to judge how you need to bounce it.
I suggest playing a few games of Firefight while only using the Grenade Launcher as your weapon, you should quickly get a hang of using it!
I love me some pro pipe, please bring it back

In the trailer it has a number of characteristics that the Grenade Launcher in Reach has. The reason the grenade type projectiles don’t curve down is likely due to gravity, but maybe not. We don’t have much information right now.

Takes skill… but if you get good at it, its lethal… also a good strategy is to aim at a wall behind your enemy
The BR and DMR are similar, but both are in, and by a recent article I saw, it looks like the Spartan Laser will be back even with the existance of the Railgun.
A weapon as unique as the Pro Pipe will have no problem existing wiht the Sturmpistole.
