Why is it so weak? Was this done on purpose? It feels like the radius is super small. I find myself finishing off most opponents with either another rocket or a BR
I’m not sure what it is, but it feels very inconsistent. Sometimes I don’t get kills when it lands right at their feet, other times I kill myself when it lands 10 meters away.
Desync in a nutshell
Same with the hammer, the other night I did not get a kill with it when someone that was no-shield was 5m away, then later in the match I get killed by a hammer at like 8m when I had full shields. Gamer rage is real.
The root of these problems are definitely desync. It’s ridiculous at this point, I get around corners, behind walls, etc, and still managed to get hit with an ar across the map. Rockets don’t finish kills, hammer is just asinine in all aspects, somehow the snipers don’t hit head shots but hit bodies instead. It’s all around a problem
Yeah iv hit people full on with a rocket or energy sword and they live it lol, certainly grinds my gears too

I think it’s more on the latency/desync side. I am sure you’ve ran into situations where you’ve punched someone, heard the crunch, felt the vibration, and yet they have no damage? Same situation. Don’t bait.
One thing i don’t like about infinite’s rocket launcher is that there is no lock on for air vehicles. It always use to do that. Its one of the main utilities against air vehicles i want it back
I played a fiesta match last week where a sword weilder lunged at me, made full contact, heard the proper sounds, but did no damage to me. I was able to finish up the kill in my panic, but felt for the poor guy and ended up killing myself at his feet in pity as I should have died.
Unfortunately (fortunately) suicides don’t count against the team score, so it didn’t mean much other than an inefficient protest against the current state of desync.
The RL isn’t weak, it is just Desync causes Splash Damage to have inconsistent damage outputs because the person in range of the splash damage might be a few feet over on the server connection but desync is showing them at a certain position on your screen; whereas in actuality they are on the edge of the explosion you sent out.
Look at the game how it’s was way over done with the “balancing” that 343 tried to brag about that they “spent years” on.
I’d like to know who made the calls because just BTB alone literally shows they never played Halo, and they don’t have a clue on WTH they are doing.
Just because 343 hired someone that can code, doesn’t mean that they are the right person for the job. It explains a hell of a lot on why there are an absurd amount of issues in the game, anywhere from balancing to quality content being created.
It was inconsistent from lag all the way back in Halo 2 and 3 Matchmaking, but in Infinite, it just seems wrong… like the blast radius is not circular but instead an ameba ![]()

I was in a BTB game and I was on top of one of the buildings looking down . I unloaded an entire clip of an Assault rifle onto a guy who was standing still, didn’t break his shields, switched to the sidekick, unloaded that, still didn’t break his shields. Then a teammate in a warthog starting blasting into him with the chaingun, STILL didn’t break his shields
The guy didn’t die until the driver ran him over.
This game is ridiculous.
Extremely inconsistent. I’ll hit someone at their feet, they’ll live. Hit 5 ft behind them on a wall they die. Wtf?
There’s also been instances where I hit him straight in the face and they still live

I agree the rockets have gotten weaker for some reason compared to the other halos. It can be fixed when they get to it someday it just takes time
I doubt it’s desync. There’s no desync on my end. I should probably go back to theater next time and rewatch it, just to verify it wasn’t a connection issue
Highly doubtful. Unless hundreds of others are also having this “personal issue”
Not saying its your connection mate, i sit at 19ms some games and still have hits robbed. Its an issue within the game atm, i personally think its a crossplay issue as if its not coded right
