Is it just me or does the rocket launcher look a bit… generic?
have you seen the halo 5 rocket launcher!?
it does not have the classic double barrel like in all other halos before it!
i think that 343 should have the old launcher
in all the changes I think are bad in halo 5 I think this will be the worst for me, mabey it will still have 2 shots but it still won’t be halo.
We don’t know if it’s the same weapon.

Should we therefore have a 3 shot pistol in all the Halos cause no one wants change?
Looks to me like a special weapon, that possibly has a single homing rocket and we likely will still have the classic 2 shot rocket launcher with no homing ability.
If it’s is the rocket launcher 343 might change it because don’t forget this is a beta
Even if it’s a new weapon, I would still say it looks too generic.
Not really bothered by it.
We don’t know yet. I’m really hoping it’s not because the old one is just so unique and cool looking, while this isn’t.

Aesthetically? Not super generic modern-looking weapons…
Halo’s Rocket Launcher has always been different and interesting with its two barrels. But this…thing…is a military green, single tube launcher that looks like it was taken out of any old military shooter. Nothing about it screams “sci-fi” or “Halo”.
To be honest I thought the original rocket launcher design was generic…

There’s been no information to prove that the screens we’ve seen that resemble the launcher are indeed the RL or some new weapon all together.
There was a thread adressing what it was. I cant find anything to confirm what they claimed it to be so until the beta we wont know. Im just hoping the old classic iconic rockets are still in game. Maybe theyll be reclassified as a legendary weapon.
For one we don’t even know if the launcher we have seen thus far is a new weapon or a replacement for classic rockets. It seems odd they would just replace OG rockets with a more generic alternatives
A few theories…
*The new launcher is an entirely new weapon with a different function from traditional rockets
- Rockets are not all that complicated to balance, which is why they don’t show up in the beta- The new weapon replaces traditional rockets, but OG rockets remain as a ‘legendary’ weapon.- New weapon replaces rockets, Incinerator cannon takes over the role of OG rockets.Its a bit too early to bring out the pitchforks on this particular issue. I am personally hoping the weapon we have seen is a player guided missile(think AT4 from Bad company 2 or the SRAW from BF2/BF4).
its not the classic SPNKR, its the Hydra. its like the plasma launcher in reach but UNSC form
I hope that it’s some sort of only vehicle rocket launcher and they still have the classic double tube in there somewhere.
