I think that if the rocket hog turret is going to take that long to lock on to an air target the range should be doubled or something.
You pretty much have to be under it or in a spot where they’ll just be able to destroy you. Unfortunately the turret can only look up at about 30 degrees, so it’s death range for the gunner.
Case in point, banshee raiders. My driver had to keep moving closer so I could lock on and then it did that pewpew instantly killed thing. Once tried locking on to Captain Hestro from the hill, wouldn’t do it.
I thought they were supposed to be the anti air variant, seeing how they suck at killing anything ground based unless the target isn’t moving or it’s an enclosed space, it’s an anti nothing hog and you’re better off with a scout.
Edit forgot to mention the req cost and rarity, scorpions cost the same and start at rare and are faaaar better than a rockethog.

^This is my gripe with rocket hogs. They simply aren’t worth the reqs.
I also agree, the lock on time for rocket hogs is too long and the range too short. There are tons of reqs of the same price or lower that are waaaaay more useful 90% of the time.
I feel like the Rocket hog would do better if you could control the amount of rockets you fire, rather than launching the entire volley. It would be nice if you could just pull the trigger for each rocket, allowing you to not spam it every single time. I typically do much better carrying a rocket turret on foot than in the actual hog. I also agree with the above comments about the REQ cost being lowered, I feel the Rocket hog needs this or some sort of buff. I don’t believe I’ve ever seen anyone go on any sort of a spree with a Rocket hog.

If someone had an ONI Rocket Hog then maybe we’d see something go down.
