343 has a record of never learning from past mistakes or doubling down on them like with the art style.
I do think its the latter because the game plays and feels good, but this idea that drip feeding content will increase player retention is just laughable, its literally killing the player base at this very moment
sounds pretty good, roadmaps will calm everyone down, peace btwn PC and console
According to Steam stats they’ve lost a little over half of the entire PC playerbase already and each daily peak continues to be lower than the last, which doesn’t bode well for the game at all if they carry on like this.
AND THIS GAME IS FREE TOO!!!
Free games rarely ever bleed players, even the super bad ones. Halo fans are specific and vocal, its what makes me happy to be apart of this community because i know things can and will change because of the players, and if halo fabs are dropping the game this quickly along with randos playing the game cause its free dropping, the player base may take a massive hit by February or march, its gonna get ugly for infinite these next few months
Especially if the story doesnt live up to the hype, people have played a bit but not all, we dont know all the story points and for all we know the sp story could go right off the rails into stupidity
Never mind February or March, at the current rate of decline the game will be stone dead before the end of December. It’s bleeding between 4% and 10% of its players every single day.
Honestly hate the “this is a beta” nonesense. We already gave them money. They already did a linited time mode. This isnt a beta…
Roadmaps and other forms of communication from the developers are always welcome. I would love to see the official communication channels become more robust.
A more detailed roadmap would be pretty great. At least let us know what mode will be coming with each event would be great
Makes sense they’d be holding some stuff back for the official launch though so we’ll see
It would be great if everyone who gets the campaign also gets a whole bunch of cosmetics for multiplayer.
Then all the people who are complaining that they just want to get customization options like previous games can be satisfied. And there can be a bunch of customization options in the game so everyone doesn’t look the same. And I’m sure there would be a bunch of people who get the campaign who wouldn’t have otherwise.
But if that’s the plan, you would think they would want to tell everyone to get as many people to get the campaign as possible.
Except they alreadybsaid they are not doing that
They do have a rough roadmap graphic for the immediate future,
Winter Contingency and Tactical ops as well qs Cyber Showdown are slated to be upcoming.
But I do hope they give us some more info about what’s up qnd coming as we have no idea what Cyber Showdown and Tactical ops are centered around nor when they release.
A timeline of events isnt the same as a development road map.
There isnt any word of gamemodes, content (maps or modes) or fixes and when they are releasing
We know we are getting events, we dont know when xp fixes, map rotation, playlists, customization, forge or coop, weapon fixes, new weapon releases, or any general fixes are coming, everything is being kept under wraps very heavily when with halo 5 they had the whole roadmap from launch
We have no idea what 343s plans are for this game besides horrible timed events, and i believe the reason is because they dont want to announce a date and then have to delay content for whatever reason, for all we know forge and coop could get delayed AGAIN
Is everyone’s memory that short? They did roadmaps with Halo 5, they will return for Infinite. The current issue is that the game is still in Beta and hasn’t officially launch.
I am sure that after launch (and most likely the Xmas holidays), we will start to see roadmaps.
