Does anyone know what the Spartan Company Commendation “Road Trip” considers a ground vehicle kill?
I have read that anything that shows up as a “turret” kill doesn’t count, so that would rule out all the warthogs. I have also read some complaints about Ghosts and Wraiths not counting as a ground vehicle kill, but I don’t know if that is true either. So mantis and Scorpion and gungoose are the only things it considers as a ground vehicle kill? Has this ever been confirmed on what a ground vehicle kill is and what it isn’t?
I had someone from my Company ask this earlier. I didn’t know how to answer. I thought hogs and Ghosts and wraiths all progressed it.
Do splatters progress it?
I hope you are both right. It wouldn’t make sense of splatters and turrets did not count.

You’ve got to be kidding me. That just seems so misleading! Why isn’t a Warthog a ground vehicle lol. Also, I figured splatters would count towards both commendations. Like how killing someone with a br headshot goes toward headshots and Spartan kills.
Some of the commendations have to overlap. Unless your saying you can only get one per kill.

I don’t think anyone knows for sure, but why wouldn’t a ghost or wraith count? Seems like they would.
Its progressed by getting kills with the vehicle not splatters.
if it progresses the gunner commendation for that vehicle it counts as a vehicle kill

Just walking around with a chaingun counts as warthog commendations kills. However I am under the impression that if it shows a turret in the kill feed and not an actual vehicle, it isn’t a vehicle kill. And Ghost and Wraiths not counting is what really gets me.
Has anyone confirmed which vehicles count as GROUND vehicle kills? It sounds like Warthogs are OUT…(gauss, rocket, chain…sword needler?)
Does that mean that Mantis, Scorpion (non-turret), Wraith (non-turret), Ghost, and Gungoose still count, I’m assuming?

I have got it using a fully loaded warthog (3 passenger) and seating back seat on a mongoose and gungoose. Both goose kills I managed to get a kill as the passenger.
