Road to Halo Infinite

Hello everybody!!!

With Halo Infinite being roughly another year in a half away, I was wondering what everyone is doing besides obvious day to day routines (work, life, etc)?
For me, I’m doing a series of events that I like to call The Road to Halo Infinite!!! These are a series of goals and time killers that I am using to try to hold me over until Halo Infinite arrives.

Such goals include:

-Going through MCC campaigns on Legendary Solo

-Going through MCC campaigns on Normal just to relive the story.

-Reading most if not all the Halo novels. I’ve never read the books growing up back when they were first being written, but after breaking down and buying a subscription to Audible, my first Halo book ended up being Silent Storm. Afterwards I was hooked, so I went back to where it all began, The Fall of Reach and I am currently on the Cole Protocol.

-Rewatching Sci-Fi series such as Stargate SG-1, which is a wonderful series to watch since we’re all pretty much into science fiction and space adventures.

These are just a couple of things I’m personally doing to keep myself occupied while the long road to Halo Infinite moves forward

What all activities are you all doing to keep your mind occupied while we wait?

-Thunderstorm Cosplay

I’m honestly not sure, but you can bet I’m going to replay all of the games on Legendary before the game actually drops. Your list is pretty ambitious but I have faith you can do it! (some people have a hard time with the Legendary campaigns, most notably Halo 2 and in some areas, Halo 4)

I’ve beaten almost every permutation of the Halo games on legendary difficulty. I still gotta buy the original Halo CE and beat that on legendary along with the original Halo 2 copy I got in my collection. I’m waiting for Reach to drop on the MCC so I can do a legendary run on it.

I’m gonna finish up my physical copy collection of the Halo games and finish up the remaining books I haven’t read (New Blood and Cole Protocol are tied for my personal favorite novels).

I’m also gonna start collecting Halo merch so I have a pretty robust collection of merch when Infinite drops. The sci-fi feel of Halo will contrast nicely with the fantasy feel my Dragonball collection gives off.

I’ll probably play through some campaigns here and there because the MCC is so fluid now. Overall, its gonna be an exciting year and a half.

I’m really loving Cole Protocol so far, I’m around 29th chapter I believe.

Me and a buddy beaten MCC on legendary on my main account, but I’d like to do so again on this account. Lol Halo 2 can be quite tedious though.

I’m playing games. I just completed The Surge, really looking forward to the new one, DOOM Eternal is not far off and that will keep me busy until Cyberpunk and Zombie Army 4 arrive. No time for Halo at the moment.

Halo 2 is all about knowing the number of spawned enemies and in most cases; if there is or is not a plasma pistol nearby. The only missions that ever give me a hard time is Regret and Gravemind, everything else isn’t too bad. I remember when I was a noob at FPS back in 2007, Cairo Station was the bane of my existence on Legendary.

You made me smile when you mentioned Star Gate. Easily one of my favorite series of all time. So now thanks to you, I will be rewatching that glorious show!

Beyond that, my goals are slightly less ambitious. I’m working to beat MCC on Heroic and then coop on Legendary. I love Halo to death, but my skills seem to hit a ceiling when it comes to Legendary and I end up just getting too frustrated. And since I’m playing Halo to have fun, I just don’t see the point in grinding for Legendary when I can have much more fun on Heroic.

Cod with bots
Doom with bots
Titanfall 2 with bots

No halo with bots though
Halo Mp at 190 ping isn’t much fun

Well I think my only goals for Halo till Infinite is to take a break 1st…because I already achieved my goal of reaching 152 on H5 a few months back, haven’t touched it since then because I didn’t like it for many reasons plus the game burnt me out several times to get to max rank.
So for now my goals is sticking to classic Halo via MCC then hopefully Reach when it releases on MCC and sometimes Halo Wars 2. After H5 I needed a breather due to that game stressing me out a lot so had to take a break from Halo. I’m hoping Halo Infinite makes me love playing Halo again since 4,5 have been sort of making me want to play less Halo and I’ve been finding it hard to convince myself to keep playing.

Pretty much some gaming & other hobbies. Nothing too special really.

Been playing Apex for my MP and working on my SP game back log that never seems to shrink.

Play out all the halo games and try and keep myself indulged with the story

Right now is my grind to level 152. I am currently about 3/4 thru level 143. I want whatever token of appreciation they hand out. Even if it is just an emblem. Or bonus XP when you first load up the game. I want it. Then I’ll have to find another game to keep me busy. Doom eternal is looking good. Might pick it up this holiday season and play between that and halo 5. I’ve given myself a month per level and I’ve almost leveled up twice this month so I’m avidly playing still but take breaks. Then when it is closer to the release date make a run thru all the main halo campaigns (but starting with reach) for a nice flow. I already beat the MCC legendary so I’m just going back for an easy quick playthru to refresh the story in my head and appreciate the legacy halo. Then take the next few days off from work and possibly miss lectures and classes and play thru the story on normal then sum MP. Then at sum point go thru on a legendary playthru pretty early so I can get whatever they are going to give out for Solo legendary

I will be playing all campaigns on legendary up to the release. As well as some time on the MCC and the dreaded grind to 152 in H5. Currently half way to 149.

Lol Stargate is amazing!!! If you don’t have the DVD/BluRay, the entire series is on Amazon Prime
