Rise of the Elephants

Elephants were one of the best things in Halo 3’s multiplayer, they were amazing fun, the small moving base which you can control. People were a little disappointed that they were not in Halo 3’s campaign, and then when they were not in Halo Reach at all, I for one was gutted.

It would be a great level to have a fully manned elephant and you can choose to drive, man a turret, take cover and fire pot shots, drive a mongoose and scout ahead, or just run along side it.

While at first a line of ghosts charge you (like ten) head on, then as you push on the valley becomes thinner and there are cliff edges up on both sides, then there is an ambush with elites (or what ever the enemies will be) leaping down onto the elephant trying to take out the driver.

Even if not campaign, please re-make Sandtrap with all the keep elephant features (where they do the best clashing). Halo 4 needs elephants in one way or another, and it would be great if 343 take this suggestion to heart.

Manning a gauss cannon on an Elephant plowing it’s way through a ton of enemy vehicles with some Scorpions backing you up would be awesome.

Yes. Especially with some of the action pieces in Gears of War 2 and 3, the Elephant is a great opportunity for a unique section of gameplay within a campaign.

Hopefully, they’ll make a return.

elephants are awesome.

> elephants are awesome.

Yes,why yes they were =)

I would love the elephant so much more than I already do if their movement speed was very slightly increased.

I would love for the elephant to return. It really made CTF on Santrap a lot of fun.

Sand Trap was really one of the best big team maps in halo period. The elephants were a genius idea by bungie. Makes me wonder where all that genius went for Reach…

Thanks for the great support guys!

I miss them too…

Sand Trap CTF with Elephants always made my friggin’ day!

they should be in one single map

the end

Elephant needs to come back and have different variants, such as machine gun, Gauss, and possibly rockets. You should also be bale to change what vehicle spawns inside of it, like mongoose, warthog (all variants), maybe even a hornat/falcon if it could fit.

I can’t believe Halo Reach didn’t have them, think how cool it could have been…

god elephants were so awsome, i remember a multiplayer match where one somehow got on top of the other (not slanted i mean fully on top)

press RB to filp…wait what? how did you do that?

I remember puttng two elephants back to back and holding off the entire enemy team from with in the elephants.

Agreed. i would love the elephant. It would be REALLY nice if it would be made into a forge vehicle. It was fun playing infection on halo 3 on the elephant.

if 343 adds the elephant, then PLEASE add it to a very LARGE map

on sandtrap it was boring because you couldn’t move it around to very many places

and for such a LARGE vehicle, the map felt small for it

Elephants should definitely return to multiplayer, no question about it.

Campaign, well…as long as they can make it work without messing anything up, I’m all for it. But I’m not so sure how it would work on a forerunner planet. I think an Elephant mission would be better suited for a game against the Covenant.

see this is what could get in 343’s way

the vehicles are programmed to NOT hold other vehicles, and/or turrets

so that means that 343 needs to have a larger program on them

such a program it makes the elephant more like a moving Structure piece rather than a vehicle

ever try putting Machine gun turrets on any vehicle? it won’t let the vehicle move if its on it, so the elephant would have to be different

and no, you shouldn’t have to select in the options what vehicle spawns, you should, be able to put them in yourself

different turrets? no
the Elephant is supposed to be a Mobile base/command post, not a mainline vehicle
