Riptide

I’m not even going to sugarcoat it. Riptide is 343’s most atrocious thought into a -Yoinking!- map thus far. The map is loaded with choke points and dead ends. Also to put it lightly it is just a really horrible reskin of Fathom. I’ve seen better forge users make maps 10x better than this, and they wouldn’t put a fuel rod and a beam rifle as the main power weapons -__-. The only nice thing about that map is the Halo 2 BR. Please get on your -Yoink- 343i.

It’s not great, but there are worse, and it’s not Forged.

I love the aesthetic look of riptide but the angles and sight lines are some of the worst I’ve seen in any Halo, and that even includes Chiron… just wish they would broaden up some of the passages and make them actually go THROUGH to where it seems like the passages should logically lead… I dunno, it just feels clunky to navigate.

Seriously dude, the map looks amazing, it plays nice and it’s not forged. It doesn’t even look like fathom so why are you complaining? …

Definitely not a bad map to me, except that you can spawn trap in the Blue Room. My team left in a slayer game and so it was a 1v4, and I respawned and died in there about 8 times before the game ended. It seems to be too large, as I’ve had games where multiple enemies spawn at one end while I’m looking at it, I have no idea why though as my team wasn’t spread out at all.
