Poor little guy I never ever see him in games anymore, I would chose him but Voridus has taken my heart as my main, It’s so sad because his dialogue is hilarious his grunt units are great he has some really unique leader powers and awesome hero units.
Why don’t I ever see him in game is there something wrong with him that needs a buff or something? If there please share I need to know.

Yapyap is actually incredibly balanced in my opinion. He’s a leader that does have a high skill floor, so it probably isn’t a surprise that people pick leaders like Anders or Decimus over him.
Instead of talking about Make Yapyap great again, how about we call it Buff Yapyap or relaxation camp?
He’s actually really good in Skirmish.
He’s got a pretty insane late game, if you can manage to make it there.
He’s a grunt leader. That should tell you right there why people don’t play him.
I still come people across playing as him. Mostly doing massive grunt swarm rushes though, highly annoying.
He is a good leader, he’s balanced enough, but his main thing is fun. If you wanna have fun, this is the leader for you. Train THREE heroes, each one having an awesome “Y” ability. That not you’re style? Rush with a ridiculously weak army of FREE units in the first few minutes of the game. What? You want to win too?(You’re asking for a lot) Then why not run the heavy grunts, arguably the best infantry unit in the game. There is a lot of things he can and will do.
I mean with 16 leaders there’s a lot of choice that’s not him, but I see him all the time, dropping methane clouds, grunt domes, swarming with his free grunts and making me die a little instead seeing the “don’t shoot me” timer pop up every 2 minutes.
Globally he has one of the highest win rates currently.
