SO, this past weekend, we were given the option to get a limited edition vehicle REQ pack for the STEEP price of $5.99 each. I think it would have been better if there was an option to save up REQ points to get them as well, though.
For anyone who had the chance to get one (or more) of these, what did you think?
For me, I LOVED them. This is exactly what I have been hoping for since a few weeks into the release. These are even better than I expected (because you are guaranteed one vehicle certification unlock), but there sadly was no option to save up points to get them.
However, I don’t recall reading that the limited time was only 1 weekend!!! -Yoink!- 343 SOME OF US ARE TRYING TO GET LEGENDARY VEHICLES OVER HERE lol.
Does anyone want them to make these packs permanent - with the addition of saving up points for them (if a gold pack is 10K, then these should be like 20K)?
Im sure they will bring it back, and im sure they will do a set of weapons pack, armor pack etc. All will cost real money and not use points. And they will make a lot of money from doing it. I dont mind it, i dont personally buy them. And hey, if they make enough money to actually bring out some good DLC then im all for it.
I liked them. I bought 3 with money the first time I have spent actual money on them. Mainly because I miss vehicles in Halo. BTB is pretty limited when it comes to vehicles. I wish H5 would make a BTB Heavies playlist.

This guy gets it!
I never want to see a req pack for money only ever again! As a matter of fact real world money should actually get you req points that you spend however you like, there shouldn’t be any money value for any pack or combo packs; only req point values, then whether you earned or bought the req it would be available to you.

Dude, I remember when they did that in Halo 4. That was the best! You had all kinds of vehicles rolling around causing destruction. I miss vehicle combat, lol!
RIP? I say good riddance! Honestly a pack that guarantees rare vehicles certs for real money and can’t be bought with req points. It is 1: A complete milking scheme on the req system and 2: Completely unfair to those who save their money and req points.
I’m okay with the concept and go ahead make it cost like 15,-20,000 req points, but don’t lock it behind a paywall especially when everything in there is only for one game mode and not even permanent cosmetics like armor.
Hopefully they will bring these things back permanently and include the option to get them with points.
They shouldn’t use the REQ system as a milking scheme. If you see the way that they have implemented it so far, it is very fair. They should continue the option of points and real money for options. I can understand the HCS pack being real money only because it was funding the Halo Tournament, that’s cool with me.
In terms of the vehicle packs, not everyone has the money to spend on them, and seeing the option for both money and points will actually have the effect of more people buying them for money - because more people will actually get a pack for points, and then if they like it, then some will choose to get one more with money.
