I’ve been on here for about a month and if you all get what you want then Halo is dead so I’m just making this ahead of time.
I hope Halo “evolves” into exactly what you all want because it will be the end of Halo.
What you all want in Halo will ruin it.
If I buy it and it has armor abilities, loadouts and anything you guys want in it I’m taking it right back. Everyone but two or three people that I played with in Halo 2 either play different games or got rid of their xbox’s because of the changes between Halo 3 and Halo 2, and you guys are willing to accept things back from Reach. I’m done with Xbox if Halo 4 is another Halo made with features from other games and I’m willing to bet a huge chunk of the already small community will do the same.
I actually find myself agreeing with OP here, all i want is Halo 4 to be Halo again, Reach was a massive disappointment to many people, no one can deny that.

Then go back and play Halo 2. And whole you’re at it, why don’t you get a mullet and an 88 Camaro. Sometimes change is necessary…
BTW if everyone got there way, the game would be released as 2 games…people who want no change and people who are open to change but are hoping it will be good change
Halo 2 changed from Halo CE. Was still the No.1 Xbox Live game even when all the 360 games started coming out, right up until Gears of War. Even then it was still a close competition between the two.
Halo 3 introduced Forge, changing the way Halo was played in dozens of different ways. Some changes are good. Just because Reach introduced a few bad changes, that doesn’t mean that all changes are bad.
I thought most people on these forums agreed with you…
I personally am willing to wait and see what these features hinted at flesh out to be before abandoning the franchise, but I know others have a much clearer idea of what they want from Halo 4. Either way, after finishing Primordium, I will buy Halo 4 at least for the campaign, I think 343 has done a wonderful job at developing the universe.

People deny that on this forum all the time and they say that original Halo players are just afraid of change, and that Halo needs to evolve.

Halo 4 is yet to be released and so far we know almost nothing of the game, and what we do know (not guess, interpreter or “assume”) is even less. Before the game has gone gold anything, and I mean anything might change. They could add deathstreaks and remove vehicles, I doubt they will but they could.
Based on guesses and speculation, and a short “work in progress” video, I wouldn’t be blam! enough to call it a bad game, your prejudices are getting the better of you OP. If you’re unsure whether Halo 4 will be a game for you or not, don’t buy it at release. Wait a few days/weeks, look at gameplay and maybe rent it?
It it’s a good game, waiting a few days is ok since you’ll play it for years, and if it would be bad, you’d just saved a lot of money from not buying at release

Yes some changes are good, but the ones I see people suggesting for Halo 4 and the ones that people want to keep from Reach are terrible that’s the difference.

Most of them were. It’s not one or two bad decisions that ruined Reach, it’s hundreds of things.
We have been loyal to Master chief and the Halo franchise for 10 years now . Why abandon him now on his biggest adventure yet ? Here is a video that should remind everyone of what we have been through with Chief and what is comming .Are you with us or agianst us ?
