It just came forward that Microsoft layoff 10,000 employees of 343 industries so does that mean no more updates for Multiplayer and no campaign dlc?
343i doesn’t even have a tenth of that employee pool so, no, that is not what that means.
Microsoft is on track to layoff 10,000 employees from their game studios, so far it seems about 60, including Joseph Staten, have left 343.
So yeah-game’s toast.
It’s 10,000 Microsoft wide from what I’ve seen.
Microsoft is firing 10,000 in each field, not just Xbox.
Anyway, I’m not sure at all. Still, I think, hypothetically, if 343 stops producing anything related to Halo Infinite in the worst-case scenario starting today, and they let someone reorganize their current content, I imagine they should be covered for 2-3 seasons (about the end of 2023).
It seems according to the sources that the people fired come mostly from the Infinite Campaign, meaning the multiplayer team should still be active. With a reorganization like that, 343 should still be able to go on with the next seasons. I don’t know about the current mini-story involved within the seasons, though.
