I didn’t like Halo 2 PC as it was to much like H3 in terms of game-play. I do enjoy watching montages from Halo 2 PC involving “sliding” which wasn’t in the console version. I also enjoyed watching some of the gameplay montages as well.
In comparison to Halo 2 console, Halo 2 PC just was a average game. It probably was better than Halo 3 though lol.

I was going to reinstall H2V after a HDD crash. Quite disappointed with this news. PC gamers appear to get no love from 343i.
H2V will always have a place in my heart, I spent many nights playing late into the morning.
It is a shame they have given up on us, we still got Halo:CE i suppose 
I’m disappointed but not really surprised. H2V was never very well supported by MS. =/
Are 343i trying to get us to hate them? First they make it impossible to find dlc maps in reach, then ruin halo with halo 4 in so many ways, on top of that there making it impossible to play with people online. Instead of -Yoink!- people off they could have lent to the servers to someone like gearbox but instead they decide that the only options on online gaming is halo 3, reach, halo 4 and just for added insult I keep hearing rumors that they were going to pull the plug on halo 3 so that means being forced to play the terrible halo reach/4!
Also of course I’m going to be mad about this since I sometimes like playing halo 2 online, it was my way if getting back into halo because Microsoft was greedy, wanted more money, wanted to force people into buying the 360. Now I’m sorry if this seem’s like attacking at 343i but I feel like 343i have directly attacked me, many others that still play halo 2!
So are we going to be logging up some H2V hours to send it off?..
Honestly, if I knew the servers were still up for Halo 2 PC then I know me and a few other people who would love to try it, I will definitely be picking this up and enjoying the last month of its life.
Disgusting, if 343 does make a remake, I won’t be buying it now.
I really hope 343 doesnt make a remake of halo 2. a game must die at one point. and the memories will carry on. When I got anniversary I wasn’t like OMG I was like ok because I already owned the original so it was like playing it with a nice paint job.
i would imagine that remaking halo 2 would put alot of negative influence on alot of the community

And the doors on Halo 2 are finally closing. Leaving only XBC available for MP. The best Halo game ever made is still pushing strong though and refusing to give up. I hope 343 remakes it or make Halo 5 a game able to stand up to the greatness of Halo 2.

That’s just you, not everyone wants to be forced to use xbox connect…
A lot of people got excited for halo cea because they hoped to play the original multiplayer online except 343i mislead people, eventually told people it was reach multiplayer. Memories are great but not everyone wants to be forced to play the latest game just because it looks shiney… I myself go back to games like doom, resident evil 2 frequently and is not showing any sign of dieing anytime soon since people still download them to this day.
Halo 2 if it was remastered would sell because people want convience, the ability to be able to play it while being able to talk to friends while many of us can’t since it takes off party chat, if they learnt anything from their past/on-going mistakes they should learn to keep the original multiplayer. Halo 1/2/3 are known as the best for a reason, I feel that there mainly shutting these servers down to force people into 343i attempt at Halo which has annoyed me to no end.

Agreed, hopefully we can force 343i into keeping those servers up.
I only found out that the servers were still up a month ago. In a months times that’ll be true.

I’d blame 343i for that since they misleaded a lot people that they killed both pc, xbox servers. I think it’s about time we fight for our servers back.
