Should the ringing noise and TLH from explosions return in Halo 4?
HELL NO.
I might as well have been playing Reach’s multiplayer on mute because 75% of the time, I couldn’t hear anything due to everybody CONSTANTLY spamming grenukes with their annoying sound effect.
I say, yes, it’s a wonderful thing.
You’d think those suits would be resistant to that kinda thing. It’s clear that reach was bungie blatantly trying for a realistic shooter when that isn’t what halo has ever been. If you’re gonna experiment with Call of Duty elements, wait until your contract is broken and start a new game. Call of
Halo is never gonna work.

OT: I kind of liked the way it muted the sound in Reach. It made it feel like the grenades were actually explosives by deafening us for a while. Weather it stays in Halo 4 I really wouldn’t mind.

Your welcome, but calling a game “Call of Halo” just because it has one detail from the game makes it seem like your trolling a little.
I thought it was a pretty neat addition.
Definitely return! Although Halo Reach wasn’t the best Halo ever made, it was the most realistic to me and made me feel like I was actually on the battlefield with the graphics, TLH, the darkness and lots more. I think they should keep this additions to the game in Halo 4.
I personally love it!
And nade spamming really isn’t a big deal, I don’t know what you’re all talking about–use those AAs you’re so fond of whining about.

dude the ringing sound doesnt make any sense in halo.
Mjolnir would prevent the noise from the grenades to be so loud they cause ringing.
No way!

Yes. Just because Spartans are air-tight sealed into a suit of armor, doesn’t mean they are sound-proofed. They still have to hear outside the suit. Therefore, things like ringing noises from close explosions still apply.
inb4 canon =/= gameplay
This feature doesn’t hurt at all to have. In fact, it evens the playing field for sound-whores.
Yes.
It got really annoying after a couple weeks of play.
Eh, it’s not a bad thing, but it can get a little annoying if the grenade spam gets particularly heavy.

Because, y’know… Call of Duty DEFINITELY came up with the idea.
If you’re gonna give Call of Duty credit for things that they didn’t do, wait until you realize what a fool you make yourself look like and correct further statements. Call of Duty is not the only innovator.
Canonically speaking? It didn’t make sense in Reach. However, in Halo 4, I want the grenades to have a real “UMPH!” to them, and not the flat “kapow.” Halo 3 had.
I liked it, thought it was cool, and it only lasted for a few seconds…
