Okay, first I’m only having a go at the modders who get into games, have an unfair advantage, then think they’re actually good.
No you’re not, if you have to mod, you obviously don’t have the skill it takes to be a regular, reasonable gamer.
I am especially talking to the ‘gamers’ who I encountered today, the one who never had a damage boost (especially since it was Dominion), yet was two shotting everyone on my team, consistently…
I am also talking about the modder who is able to kill me (and anyone) who is in a full health wraith, with a single banshee bomb. Two fair enough, but it is IMPOSSIBLE to kill a wraith driver (full shields, full health wraith) in less than 2, probably 3 banshee bombs.
And before anyone says ‘lag’, no it wasn’t. Perhaps if my team was two shotted only a few times, yeah you could say lag. Or if I was still getting in the wraith and got hit, yeah lag or bad luck. But when you are safely ensconced in a wraith, at full health, full shields, hatch down, in there for at least 3 seconds, as said above it is simply not possible to kill the driver in a single banshee bomb.
So what’s your excuse modders? You don’t have one, and I hope that if 343i doesn’t ban you, then you electrocute yourself (and hopefully give yourself brain damage) next time you try and Jtag an xbox for an online advantage.
Yep that’s my rant, hopefully these people are caught and permanently banned from accessing Xbox LIVE (full IP ban, a physical block, etc), but I doubt it’s happen…sigh…
They will be banned, if they are using mods.
But, i still have hard time believing they were hackers.
I would still say lag.
Even if that was genuinely a modder, that is a single example.
I am yet to come across a modder in H4, and I’ve only seen a handful of actual modders posted about here on waypoint.
I came across a modder yesterday. 30 seconds into the game, I was killed by a guy wielding an incinerator cannon. Ok, it was on a map where one such gun spawns. No problem so far. I respawn, kill that guy not even 10 seconds later (he was reloading), and take his incinerator cannon. And not even half a minute later, I get attacked by this same guy and his guest, and both are wielding incinerator cannons!
Now, I highly doubt that both that guy and his guest had earned their first ordnance drop barely a minute into the game, especially since that guy got killed in the meantime. And I doubt even more that even if both indeed had earned ordnance drops, both of them got incinerator cannons at the same time. Far too much coincidence.
Fortunately, it’s very rare to encounter modders these days. Yet it still happens from time to time.

Test it yourself in Forge or customs, its impossible to one hit a wraith with a banshee bomb… Lag simply isn’t a factor, the banshee bomb doesn’t even recharge that fast…
And I theatred it, and that banshee was the only thing even looking in my direction at the time…

I refuse to believe players who come on here and claim they frequently encounter cheaters. I have matched three players who have possibly cheated in some way over the course of my 1500 games of Halo 4.
