Rigged Matchmaking Search Algorithm!?!?!?

What I am trying to figure out and why.
Does 343 Industries have an algorithm which is supposed to balance out the game by putting bad players on teams with better players?
I have been getting paired up with THE WORST teammates of all time, with each games seeming harder and harder to carry my team.

Hypothesis
I have a theory that 343 Industries has a searching algorithm which places lesser skilled players with better players to even out the game.

Materials
To figure out whether this is true or not, I will be using the stats of my last 10 games.
All Kill/Death Spreads will be recorded, including my own.

Procedure:
I have been taking images of the Kill/Death Spreads of every game I have played, and to my avail, I have started to see that my teammates are in fact dragging me down when I am having great games.

Add up Everything.
Me: +184
Teammates: -197

Pretty even right? Now, take it into averages.
Me: +18.4 per game.
Teammates: -19.7 per game as a whole.

So, as I go +18.4 per game, 343 wants the game to be fair for the other team by putting bad players who go -19.7 per game on my team.

Conclusion
343 Industries has a balancing search algorithm which places the more skilled players on the same team as lesser skilled players to balance out the game as much as possible.

I don’t generally go as positive as you, I’m more of a support player and not a main slayer. However I do find that the teammates are either braindead, or nearly so. It is a problem that persists across all games and is quite inescapable.

I agree. Im continuously getting stuck into a rank because I consistently have 2-3 completely bad kids on my team. I search with a friend of mine and we always go positive with our other two teammates going nearly double digit negative each and every game. I understand that you arent always going to get good teammates but I shouldnt have to play with a handicap 9 out of 10 times.

this happens to me all the time…
i get matches where the ranks/balancing are like this:

me 15
5,6,5,7
vs
all 12s.

i strongly believe to make matches ‘balanced’ they punish really good players by sticking them with the worst players

but obviously a team of average skilled players, will always win a team of 1 really good player, and 4 idiots haha
its annoying but it seems like that is just how it is when you search solo in team based playlists…

What about your xbox live rep? Because I thought Microsoft said that depending on your rep you got paired with players similar to your rep? So basically wouldn’t your rep have a factor on who you match up with? (Sorry if I repeat myself)

Yeah it seems like whatever system they have, doesn’t work.

It sounds like you have had a very unfortunate series of games, it’s not usually that bad, but the system is broken nonetheless :frowning:

I’m inclined to agree, my experience with searching solo in matchmaking is almost the exact same. Rarely do I get teammates with spreads anywhere near mine.

I agree its almost unbearable searching matches by myself, I usually wait for my body in the west coast to get on so I dont get stuck going +10 while everyone else is quitting or going -8

Proof http://imgur.com/a/KnpU7And this is just a SMALL PORTION of them. If I screencapped every match like this, my Upload Studio would be maxed out on space.

This reminds me of Halo 3 where you could have three 12s on each team along with a 49 on each team. Bungie considered this a “balanced” match. Yet another reason why visible ranks are a disaster, at least for me. As one of the 12s I might have been able to get something out the match if I hadn’t been able to see the ranks beforehand, but knowing full well from the outset that there were sharks in the water made the entire experience a waste of time. I haven’t found MCC to be any different. I know people luvs 'em their visible ranks, but in Halo 4 I just played the match and I didn’t care who I was pitted against because I couldn’t see their rank anyway and they couldn’t see mine and it wasn’t about “mine’s bigger than yours…” you just played for the love of the game and that was that. Ranks are opaque, inequitable, convoluted, and they create more confusion and consternation than anything else. I for one could do without.
