When playing Warzone Firefight is it ok to man a Scorpion machine gun? If I see a tank I’ll jump on the turret since it’s a better gun than whatever I’m using. But sometimes I’ve noticed the driver will go backwards so I can’t shoot at anything. Personally I don’t care if someone jumps in the turret of my tank, after all, we’re all trying to kill the boss to win the round so whatever helps.
Sounds like the driver probably is just trying to stay in cover and not get blown up.
Jumping into the turret is expected and often appreciated by the drivers as it means the don’t need to worry about infantry enemies hijacking them.
I don’t see anything wrong with jumping in someone’s Scorpion turret. That is probably the best thing to do if it’s better than whatever you’re using. Are you sure the person was doing that on purpose? Sometimes when I drive a Scorpion, I forget that my gunner doesn’t have a shot at what I’m shooting, and it takes a bit of awareness to make sure the gunner can shoot, too. But if somebody is purposefully trying to prevent you from getting a shot, they’re just being an -Yoink- so don’t worry about it
I dont know what the title has to do with the op,but ok.
If I get the chance to get in an turret I will use it.
I have also no problem with people who use my scorpion turret.
It also seems that people use the turret to mark targets for the main gun,as whenever I shoot at an position, the driver will often shoot at this position too.
I think its fine. And i agree with the explanation about backwards driving, getting to cover is more important than giving the one on machine gun a clear firing line.
I don’t mind it, but I’m not gonna put myself in bad positions so the gunner can shoot stuff.
I’ve had someone do that to me before when I got on their turret so you’re not alone. But yeah although it’s frustrating and discouraging, I’d have to agree with other people here and say there’s nothing wrong with trying to hop on a scorpion as someone’s gunner, just try to keep in mind that people are most likely going to play more for the tank than the gunner’s kills.
I agree with most of the people here, he was probably just trying to stay in cover. However, I don’t think it is a bad thing to get into the turret. In fact I prefer it. Let the gunner take out people I may not see while I’m fighting bigger target. The turret is there for a reason. It’s not like the driver is going to use the turret while he is driving.

Riding shotgun means refers to riding in the passenger seat of a vehicle. Jumping into the tank turret would be ‘riding shotgun’, same as jumping into the front seat of a car IRL.
True, not all tank drivers do it. I understand the point of protecting the tank as well. Really it’s only been a few times when the driver operates the back of the tank going forward so the turret can’t shoot any thing in front of the tank.
But anyway, thanks for the input.
it’s perfectly ok, but I wouldn’t sacrifice my mobility for a turret unless it’s a warthog. or maybe a hannibal scorpian in some occasions.
There are some people who don’t like people using their turrent. Who knows why but I happily will let someone use it
