how do i get the screen shots onto my pc so i can put them with my info?
I was under the impression that 343i will not put maps into MM if they include trait zones. Is this true?

All you have to do is link to the screenshots on Waypoint. We’ll view them from there.
> I was under the impression that 343i will not put maps into MM if they include trait zones. Is this true?
Not exactly. For whatever reason trait zones are “deleted” during the process by which Forge maps are converted for Matchmaking. So, if your map uses trait zones to keep jet pack users from going outside the boundaries of the map, then that won’t work. The map needs to function properly without the use of trait zones.
The entry form form was just altered to reflect our stance on Player Trait Zones.
> We prefer that contest maps do not contain Player Trait Zones. However, if your map does have one, please describe it here:
If you have already submitted a map which contains a Player Trait Zone we will not hold this change to the rules against you and will test it with, and without, the zone activated.
In cases where you use a zone to contain Jetpackers, we will replace the zone with a soft kill should your map make it to the final rounds.
I have an important question!
Ok, since I’m an idiot I failed to check if the name of my map was already used in Halo (Despair). I already uploaded a map named Despair with the tag CONTESTRICOCHET, but I removed it from my personal File Share. But for some reason it’s still on the public File Share. I resaved the exact same map with the name Constraint, put it on my File Share, and tagged it CONTESTRICOCHET. Then I filled out a submission form on the Ricochet Forge Contest Submission Thread for the map Constraint only. I’m just worried that if a judge looks up Constraint they will see that I uploaded a map with the tag CONTESTRICOCHET a day earlier and use that one as my submission. I am aware that the rules say that if multiple entries were submitted only the first one would count.
So my question is: Since I didn’t fill out a submission form for Despair and removed it from my File Share, will Constraint count as my first and only submission? Thank you in advance for any help!

No problem. I got it.

Thank you so much! You have no idea how worried I was that a simple title would disqualify me. Even if I don’t win, I’ll know it wasn’t because of a disqualification.
I did not recall reading any requirement for split screen performance on a console. Are there any such requirements that we need to be sensitive towards?
Hey my map was inspired by Halo-balls court design. Knowing that would i be able to submit it or does it violate the guidelines?

There are no specific requirements, just forge intelligently.
We’re supporting 2 player split. The 360 can handle that in most cases without a significant frame-rate drop.
Keep your budget as low as you can, you should be fine.

We’re not accepting mini-games, if that’s what you mean.
I’m not sure what to class it as. Both team spawn in front of each other with hammers, the objective being to grab the ball and through it into the hoops instead of walking it in. I guess it does sound more mini game after i think about it.

Yep, that’s a mini game. Sorry. Forge Hub might have a Ricochet Mini Game contest in the works. You could try for that contest if/when it is announced.
darn :L
The winners of this contest are potential candidates for inclusion in the existing Ricochet Playlist.
All maps will be tested with the default Ricochet game variant. We will not download your custom variant, or alter the existing Ricochet settings, in order to test your map.
As SNIPE 316 mentioned there may be an upcoming contest at Forge Hub which will be dedicated to Ricochet maps with custom variants. Maps which do not fit this contest will be welcomed there.
Hello. This is my first time submitting a map and I have some questions.
- By “File share gamertage” do you mean my gamertage or somthing else?
- How do I add screenshots and make a video walkthroug? Is the video optional?
These questions may seem stupid but I really don’t want to mess up the submition.
Tanks.

- Your gamertag.
- You can take screen shots while in Theater Mode. Then link your recent screen shots like this:
https://www.halowaypoint.com/en-us/players/acutus%20amnis/halo4/fileshare/recentscreenshots
or, find the screen shots in your File Browser (in the game) and save them to your file share. Then navigate to your file share (on the computer) and copy the link of the Screen Shots tab.

Hey I was wondering if we would be receiving some sort of notification if our maps were eliminated or if they made it to next round. Thanks!!
