Rewriting the H5 script

Here I will rewrite the H5 script so it hopefully becomes better. Hope you like it.

This will be split into two campaigns: The Chief campaign and the Locke campaign.

After the events of H4, whoever is in charge of the UNSC(the council, whatever) got paranoid the Chief, with all his strength, would easily be able to overthrow them. No man is allowed such power. The solution is simple: give him a new AI to keep an eye on him, to control him. The Chief refused. Cortana warned him about this. The UNSC gave him two choices: take the AI, or be sent to that place where Benjamin Geroe(don’t quite know how to spell that last name) was sent. They also accidentally revealed the rest of blue team was also in there, so the Chief created a third option, go rogue and free blue team, so he did. Then the recently freed blue team stole a pelican and flew to distant planets.

Locke, alone, is ordered to catch the Chief and the rest of blue team. He followed them to these planets, including Meridian and Sanghelios. At the end of a set of levels in Meridian, Locke successfully captures Linda.

Meanwhile, on Sanghelios, Jul M’Dama requires guidance in order for the covenant not to fade, so he created AIs of three classics: Tartarus, Truth, and that Arbitor from Hwars. They demanded bodies, naturally. The Chief and the remainders of blue team helps the H2-3 Arbitor in the Swords of Sanghelios, and during one mission, they overhear a conversation between Jul and the AIs, but Jul notices, and claims Chief is too late, for with the help of Doc Halsey, he was able to bind AIs to an empty robotic shell, and at that moment, Tartarus’ AI is placed in a metallic version of him, thus starting a boss fight.

At the same time, Locke is fighting through the Swords of Sanghelios after that conversation before H2A, ending with the Arbitor telling him the Chief is under the Swords’ protection now, and he can’t have him. He defeats, but doesn’t kill, the H2-3 Arbitor in a cutscene, and gets to blue team right as they kill Tartarus. Their momentary lack of vigilance was all he needed to catch another member, Fred.

Only two left. Chief and Kelly. They fly away from Locke, only to discover another halo! The flood will not appear, due to Warden Eternal. Protocol states that if at least two rings are destroyed, in this case, Alpha halo and the unfinished replacement for Alpha halo, extreme safety precautions will be activated, according to a monitor on the halo. These precautions include Warden Eternal and the prometheans. Any sentient beings that set foot on halo must be destroyed, in order for the halos to not be used for the wrong purpose, such as self destruct. Anyway, they fight the Warden about three times before they reach the regeneration chamber and destroy all wardens on this ring once and for all. Locke fought some, too, on his way to Chief. He captures Kelly, but Chief gets away. Locke’s job on the ring isn’t done yet, since mecha-Hwars Arbitor had come to activate the ring. Locke kills him, of course, called the UNSC to plant a base at this halo ASAP, then went after the chief.

Chief wears that cloak, and wanders to The planet of his birth, that dark place in the art of the achievements. There are covenant scavengers there, and he kills them. When the sun rose, Locke came, thus causing the ‘who will win?’ Ads that you probably remember. This is the Locke victory version, except Chief gets up, after Locke tells him he can’t do anything alone, and he has no Cortana or blue team to save him now. Chief beats him to a pulp, but doesn’t kill him. I haven’t really thought about what comes after this part, so I’ll just say the Chief walks away from beaten up Locke, then some speech starts and the campaign ends.

I looked at the biggest complaints about the campaign and attempted to make it better, such as Warden being too repetitive, Vale and Tanaka just being thrown in there with barely any personality, and all those set ups about the coming game being completely unrelated to the final product. There may be things you don’t like about this campaign, such as the halo not being that important a part of the overall story, or bringing back old characters would just be copying, but really, if you were M’Dama, you are losing, and you would probably be thinking, ‘if only Truth were here to help’, and he could, wouldn’t you take that opportunity? If you like the original campaign, and this one is just terrible by comparison, please don’t be nasty about it. Thank you, and have a nice day!

You had me at ‘split into two campaigns’. Now that I’ve finally played Spartan Ops thanks to The MCC (no Live on 360 so I couldn’t access it) I realised something; Osiris’s missions feels more like Spartan Ops Season 2 and only Blue Team’s missions actually ‘feel’ like Halo 5. This is exactly how they should of constructed the campaign, especially when my ONLY REAL criticism of Halo 5 (story/continuity issues and undeveloped characters aside) is how mistreated Chief is. HE’S THE -Yoink- MASTER CHIEF FOR CRYING OUT LOUD AND 343 JUST TOSSED HIM ASIDE LIKE AN OUTDATED NEWSPAPER!!!

Hey! It sounds like what H5 was actually advertised to be!
I wish we got this H5 ;(

Nice script man, they need to fire Brian Reed and hire you! …seriosuly tho they need to fire him and hire Joe Staten ;D
