Does anyone know if you will be rewarded for playing past halo games in halo 4. Like Call of Duty MW3 gave you prestige tokens for every game you had prestiged in.
(I’m not trying to compare it to CoD, alota games do it incuding other Halo’s.) What I’m trying to say is, I’d play Reach alot more if I knew it was going to get me something in Halo 4. Even if it was just an emblem or nameplate. Although something like free spartan points for every halo you beat on legendary would be cool. )

i dont think he meant like that im sure he meant the way halo reach gave you a special tag for completing certain games or additional armor for certain achievements. I think i have heard something about waypoint exclusive armors returning again if thats wat you meant op.

Reach gave credit bonuses and armor unlocked via Waypoint for other Halo game related achievements and accomplishments.
I think it is a very good idea.
I like what Bungie did with the special nameplates. Gears of War 3 also did this with medal (their version of nameplates mixed with commendations). Even Halo Reach’s armory was a cool way to reward veteran players.

Why be a dbag? Halo Reach rewarded people who played previous Halos w. distinctions on their nameplates and armor. And how do you know specifically no? Was this mentioned somewhere that I missed?
I would like to see a continuation of this w. exclusive emblems and such.

Why not? you got rewarded in Halo Reach if you’d played past Halo games. You could unlock armour pieces if you’d gotten certain achievements and you could get nameplates depending on what games you played. I don’t see why they wouldn’t do something like this for Halo 4.
It’d be cool if there was an emblem unlocked for each game you played:
A Halo ring emblem for playing Halo CE
High Charity emblem for playing Halo 2
Spirit of Fire emblem for playing Halo Wars

Herp derp, we got armor for Reach from past game achievements / milestone progress. And YES, the’re will be something similar for Halo 4. I can’t remember where I read it, but they did mention something about it. Also, with all the new games giving in-game skins, emblems, etc i’m sure Halo will follow suit.
I think this would be a really cool idea. Maybe you could earn armor,nameplates and an emblem. You could also make so you have to complete certain difficulties for the stuff.
Halo CE/CEA-Halo 1 nameplate(normal), Halo Ring for emblem(heroic), and Mark V armor(legendary)
Halo 2-Halo 2 nameplate(normal), battle rifle emblem(heroic)Mark VI armor(legendary)
Halo 3-Halo 3 nameplate(normal), the Ark emblem(heroic) EOD armor(legendary)
Halo 3 ODST-ODST nameplate(normal), Droppod emblem(heroic) ODST armor(legendary)
Halo wars-Ive nver played.
Halo Reach-REACH nameplate(normal), Reach symbol emblem(heroic) Mark V B(legendary)
Edit: You could also have different armor for if you complete it on legendary solo.
Halo CE/CEA-Marine armor
Halo 2-Brute inspired armor
Halo 3-Elite inspired armor, or another variant armor from Halo 3
Halo Wars-Idk
Halo Reach-Noble Team armor

well we wont be able to in reach now because they took out the DLC playlist.(bungies dlc mind you) so i would be amazed if they did that.

Keep an eye on the General Discussion forums. People are always hosting playdates. Hell, host one yourself to get those achievements. There are a lot of people who need them or are willing to help (myself included).
Halo 4 shouldn’t do this. This a new trilogy and should be a fresh start. I hate how certain armor can be tied to past game achievements. I hope they aren’t milestone related either.

im just saying i never see a dlc map to select. but i hope you get something for playing the past halo games.

I think nameplates and emblems are good rewards. Having armor isn’t mandatory, but I wouldn’t say no.
