More so just out of curiosity, if you get max rank in Halo 5 343 said there is going to be some form of reward in Halo infinite since there really wasnt anything special for getting max rank in Halo 5. I’m just curious with mcc if you get max rank will there be some kind of reward in Halo Infinite as well? I’m nowhere near max rank yet, but like I said I’m more so just asking out of curiosity.
As far as we know, there is no reward in Infinite for reaching max rank in MCC. I feel like it’ll eventually get a reward, especially with the hefty grind it takes as far as I know to reach max rank, but for right now there’s no confirmed reward for reaching it.
I genuinely doubt it would be possible to reach max rank in the MCC, even in the “10 years” that Infinite will allegedly be supported.
The person with the most matches in MCC at the moment would only be about 2/3rds of the way to max rank if the game had had XP since launch, which was 7 years ago. So they might be able to get max rank by the end of Infinite’s lifetime if the MCC doesn’t lose even more of its player count, which is highly doubtful given its age and the hit to population it will receive when Infinite’s multiplayer releases as F2P - even with crossplay between all platforms.
And all that would probably require to stick to the MCC exclusively and not play Infinite at all. Which begs the question, what point would a reward have?
343 would have to raise XP for challenges and matches significantly for players to have their cake and eat it too. Like, a factor of 10, at least.
Maybe not a Reward for getting Max Rank but I can see some kinda rewards for Playing MCC like Special Nameplates in Infinite for Completing Campaigns or other Achievements or Something.
