Reviving Old Topics, Stickies, Etc...

I was asked not to revive an old topic. So, do we want 1000 topics on say, Spartan Charge, when someone looks it up OR fewer long term revived topics on the same subject???

If you’re going to ask me not to revive a thread then point me to the sticky topic where people discuss it. …unless you like making it difficult to find a wealth of information on a topic by requiring me to scavenge every source.

343i: i’m an adult. i pay for my own things. you guys shut down threads for every possible reason and use logic that suggests you can take some action in favor of that supposing you should take action. at times it’s like you have a forum and really don’t want to be bothered by that fact. that = some really lame sauce.

My two cents;
Reviving old threads

  • The information is likely to be outdated. - Some of the people who posted may not even be around anymore. - If people were allowed to revive ancient threads, there wouldn’t be room for current and active conversations. - It’s also considered spam in the forum rules; those are linked in my signature you might want to give them a read :slight_smile: - If there isn’t an active thread on an appropriate topic on the issue, feel free to create one.Redirecting to existing threads;
    It’s generally easier if all the conversation about a specific issue is in one place;
  • it prevents the same two or three people from having the same conversation in three places. - It allows feedback to be easy for the relevant parties to find. - It allows the conversation on a topic to include all facets of it as opposed to segmenting across the forum.If you have further questions about moderation decisions, please PM one of the moderations team rather than posting about it on the forums (again, you might want to take a look at those forum rules.) Particularly since I’ve no desire to write in yellow/red at the moment.
