They don’t care. It’s all about $, and they’re still making plenty of it. The final nail in the coffin for this series is the sorry excuse of a TV show. I can’t believe what this franchise has turned into. How is it Microsoft and 343i mess up the Xbox’s flagship title/franchise like this?
I think RTU made a good assumption in his video, maybe Microsoft wants to kill the franchise and focus more on the studios that it recently acquired, or will soon acquire? Reboot the series 5-10 years down the line when everyone forgets how awful it’s been mismanaged.
He made another great point about how much money MS has missed out on through sheer neglect. Imagine the profits they would have made if Infinite shipped fully functional and content rich. The MTX market would have probably set financial records for MS.

I stopped watching RTU since he kept feeding trolls and drama. But when he has a good point, he has a good point.
Also I looked at his sources, where did any of them say co-op someitme late july and early August?! That’s Season 3 territory?! Is co-op really going to take that long? My girlfriend and I are still waiting for co-op before touching the campaign. You’re telling me we would have to wait that long?
That’s 9 months! It better not be that long. I’ll just drop the game entirely. I’m not waiting that long. Even if the campaign is good, 9 months is inexcusable. I wouldn’t be as mad if they just canceled it.

The negative online discourse around Halo Infinite is probably overrepresented versus what the actual full player sentiment is towards it.
There’s a very vocal group of people who are harping on the shortcomings of this game constantly and hard. But I think the truth is that there’s more apathy than antipathy towards this game from the whole games industry- which actually might be worse for 343.
Halo core fans who spent years speculating about what Infinite would be are still talking about the game in terms of how it failed to deliver a sustainably playable and successful game at launch, but most other people just played it for a few weeks, got bored, and moved on. Now 343i is in a tough spot where they have a largely dissatisfied core player base demanding series standard features return ASAP while having poor prospects of recovering the new players who gave Infinite a shot at launch, let alone for drawing in still new players who’ve never given the series a try.

BUT,
It’s not like they haven’t been here before with Halo 4’s launch and the loss of the MLG community, nor did they lose the HCL support from Halo 5 when the game failed to launch with Forge or functioning custom games.
They keep putting themselves into this spot. The fanbase is aloud to get hyped for a new halo game after 6 years… much like it’s aloud to be vocal about issues returning and lessons not learnt from past games.
How can a company built around a “passion for Halo”, launch a mainline game without forge support, knowing that the mode will single-handedly alleviate any content drought or time constraints the company may have post launch?
It’s mind boggling.
I don’t really care for Reviewtech but in this video he’s 100% correct. But if I was a shareholder I would be a little pissed. Investment might be doubled regardless, but failed I.P’s due to incompetence limits further investing ventures that are promising. Now you have to invest on uncertain I.P’s that have zero reputation and 50/50 prospect’s. It’s an investor’s nightmare. So as an investor, I’d be making my voice heard in those board meetings.
