Stop asking 343 to delay. They have said themselves the campaign is in a great place and the multiplayer will be ready for launch. I take a personal issue with how childish and overreacting the community has been about this. The devs specified very clearly that the optional game modes will be available shortly after launch. Stop throwing your tantrums.
With that in mind I’m gonna go ahead and call the ones out that are inevitably going to go the extra mile to hurt this game by review bombing it. Quit your -Yoink-, and get over yourself. If the game is genuinely bad then that’s an entirely different topic, but don’t review bomb it because a couple of optional modes (THAT ARE STILL COMING) isn’t available at launch. Review the game for what it is, now what you want it to be.
Why? Like I get being pissed off, co-op is missing. But actively going out of your way to damage the game further doesn’t help you, the developers or anyone.
Edit: misread. nevermind

I’ll defo be reviewing the game at launch.
It’ll be marked down for not having co-op or forge. I exclusively play campaign with my friends in co-op and have since 2001 so it’s a big deal for me.
It’ll probably get a bad review from me, personally i’m not a fan of the movement or lack of physics on MP or the fact the game is free to play and will be monetized to heaven and back.
I wouldn’t just call criticism review bombing. Yeah some people just do it out of spite. But most people just want a good game.
Review bombing is avoidable but yup inevitably its gonna hit the game and the fanboys will start more animosity over the MC and OP being sub 90.
Major reviewers for H5G lost the rag over coop being online only this wont be good for optics. Especially for a flagship title that was launching a year ago.
Twitter will be avoided for a week or so that’s for sure.

You call us “childish”, yet here you are telling us to stop criticizing 343i’s failings and accept that 343i is doing everything right. So you want us to turn our brains off and become “Yes-Men” for 343i? These are not optional modes. They are part of the core of Halo. Co-op has been here since Halo CE. 343i has even stated that co-op is integral to Halo. The game is advertised to have co-op and even Forge. Not optional. Required. Halo Reach has set a standard for future Halo games, and Halo Infinite is not meeting it. Not even close.
Review bombing is generally caused by fans who are not being heard by the game developers on other platforms. If 343i is really going to listen to the fans as they’ve promised, then they would delay the game’s release until the game is complete. But they want to release it early for those holiday bucks. This game deserves to be review bombed. Stop supporting greed, and take a stand against this practice of game companies releasing incomplete games at launch. Halo 5 suffered for following this trend, and 343i is clearly repeating past errors.

You wanna talk greed?! EA, and Activision would be a good topic of discussion. No… what I have seen since lurking these forums years ago until I finally became an active member I have seen nothing but brow bashing, non stop criticism of 343, and it’s always the same people who (won’t admit it) are Bungie purists. They have this mob like mentality akin to cancel culture and it’s always the ones on here screeching about what 343 has done wrong this time and they give them an ultimatum (I.e. delay the game or I’m done with Halo). Why? Those games modes are OPTIONAL and are still -Yoinking!- coming! If someone is incapable of playing Halo solo then that’s on them, that’s their personal choice. If this is such a vital component then just simply do not get the game. Tell them with your wallet. This community is so fickle that the smallest thing is so polarizing to a point that it’s embarrassing. I did make a topic and called you childish because you’re acting like children. Crying because they aren’t getting what they want. That’s just life and instead of being more understanding (a lot of fools seems to forget there was an entire pandemic during the development) and trying to show support for the dev they wanna give ultimatums, and incessantly whine about it. God forbid they delay this game again and then release it later and it be bad. My God these forums would never shut up about it. If your support of this game hinges on a couple of delayed game modes then that’s fine, but petty

Fortunately you dont work for major publications…You must look at the game objectively and not personally to give an unbiased review…your review will be taken with lots of grains of salt.

I mean, 343i is clearly aiming to release this unfinished game for this holiday season, and there’s no other explanation than holiday sales. There is greed involved.
There are some fans bashing on 343i for the heck of it, but most of the criticisms against them are fully warranted. You can’t call all critics blind 343i haters. That isn’t fair to the valid complaints they have. Halo 4, Halo MCC, and Halo 5 were all controversial games, each with their own reasons.
And no, these modes are not optional, at least co-op certainly is not. Like I said, co-op is essential to Halo. Been there since the start. It’s expected. And you forget, releasing the game this year will spoil the game for co-op fans. A lot of people want to enjoy Halo the best way possible, and to many that is co-op play.
Anyway, this conversation is going nowhere, so I’ll just leave it at that and hope you can understand my point of view.

Sorry how do you know where I work?
Objectively as a game, Halo infinite looks inferiour to pervious entries. If it’s that way on release. It’ll get bad reviews.

I dont know where you work…but dont pretend to be something you are not. Also it is even laughable that you said that. Halo Infinite is the embodiment of a modernized Halo 3 which was the peak of the franchise. Get real if you think this game is inferior to previous releases because it doesn’t have Co-Op…LOL

When did I say it was inferiour because it doesn’t have co-op? The movement, bland sound design, progression, micros, physics, weapon balance, lack of forge, lack of co-op. Many small things can add up to a bad game.
If this game was the embodyment of Halo 3 then howcome Halo 3 had so much more to offer at launch? Infinite is for the players, but it’s just missing many features and has changed a lot of the classic things that made Halo Halo… Oh but the store is in!!! The store and battlepass work fine!
This game will never live up to the legacy of Halo 3.

LOL welcome to the Halo community. There’s still so much we do not know about the game, but everyone is ready to say this game will fail with a couple of missing features. One I would argue is not essential to the launch health of the game (forge). According to all the naysayer logic here, the campaign can take 50 hrs (This is hyperbole, but we know it will be longer than the average Halo campaign) to complete and be an absolute masterpiece, but because there’s no co-op then the game is feature incomplete and not worth the price of entry? Double the amount of guns, enemies, and vehicles? Who gives a F—! 343 didn’t even try because there’s no co-op! No matter how good the rest of the game is there will be a very vocal minority of players that are unwilling to wait 3 months for the co-op experience. This is coming from someone who has played every Halo Co-op day one with the same buddy, it’s important to me too, but I’m more excited to see what has been expanded in the game. I will have something to look forward to three months down the road after release.
I will be judging this game comes out on the merits of the package that is released and will be right there with you guys if I feel the game is incomplete, but just because a previous Halo had a feature does not mean every subsequent Halo needs it at launch. That is an untenable expectation in the long run of game development and that mindset limits what Halo can experiment with.

lack of physics?
huh???
It’s not review bombing when the game itself earns it. If you want a good review, release in a complete, fully functioning state. By your logic Cyberpunk was review bombed and didn’t earn the bad rep it got for being a broken, janky and unoptimized mess.
Also pretty hypocritical and entirely ironic to call others childish and also take any criticisms about the game personally.

Oh good, I was worried you wouldn’t stoop to whataboutisms.
If you want people to review it for what it is, they will. Missing features count as what it is.
Stop crying over others voicing their opinions. I take personal issue with how childish people are trying to silence others expressing their serious concerns. Coop was included in the games for the past 20 years. Including coop isn’t optional, its expected.
You have no way of guaranteeing that those features will not be delayed further or worse, not released at all, especially after we have given them money for an unfinished game.
If you want to pay for an unfinished game that’s fine nobody is stopping you, but you also have no right to try to silence others opinions. Get over yourself.
This is like a double edge sword I can see the good and the bad. For one thing first impressions are important as not all Halo fans are going to use the 343 forms or social media and might not know content has ben cut out for later and cased an uproar like Halo 5 did but if it was delayed agen there backers would have to take another hit in there marketing for Infinite and lose more money and might not trust 343 any more and cut there support. Sega did that to there investors with the Sage Saturn that flop and the lost of support killed the Sage Dream cast despite it being a great game console.

Isn’t the reason they decided to delay co-op and forge is so that they are not janky and broken when released? I will be judging this game when it comes out on the merits of the package that is released and will be right there with you guys if I feel the game is incomplete, but just because a previous Halo had a feature does not mean every subsequent Halo needs it at launch. That is an untenable expectation in the long run of game development and that mindset limits what Halo can experiment with. With your logic, Infinite could have a 50hr long masterpiece of a campaign and be completely polished, but since there’s no co-op it equals garbage? We simply do not know what the full package includes to be able to say it is releasing incomplete.
