Wouldn’t it make more sense for bullets to do more damage against shields and have plasma do more damaged against unshielded targets?

It’s more likely for naked human being to survive thunder’s strike than bullet in the head, so no, it wouldn’t make any more sense.

Plasma burns shield layers.
Bullets try to pierce shield layers.

Plasma burns armor.
Bullets pierce it.

So yeah, it makes sense.

I’m not sure if that is the best example or perspective. For one, we’re not talking about naked people in multiplayer running around.

My reasoning is that armor should be made to deflect bullets, but there is nothing that can be done about searing plasma.

Shields should be made to stand up to plasma, but bullets are so small and travel so fast that they can penetrate it.

Ideally, plasma should be able to beat everything
