Reverse Engineered Covenant Weapons, and Vehicles?

Most likely the UNSC, or even ONI is going to make a appearance in Halo 4. Which means they would have Human Weapons, and vehicles. Like in every new Halo game. We get new weapons, and vehicles. You think any of them are going to be reverse engineered Covenant weapons, and vehicles?

For Example: Reverse engineered Plasma Rifle.

Considering it took 40 scientists 20 years to reverse engineer a jackal shield for the purpose of energy shields on Mjolnir armour, it doesn’t seem feasible that they could reverse engineer their (covenant) weapons within 2-4 years. Don’t get me wrong, I think it would be neat to see such weaponry it’s just I don’t know if it would happen so soon.

The war did last for about 28 years. Within that time span the scientist could have engineered some of the Covenants weapons. In Halo 4 would could use prototypes of those weapons. In Halo 5, and 6 we could use the final product. Also an Energy Shield would probably be harder to reverse engineer then a Plasma Rifle.
