Since the revenant is already sangheili made, I think that it is highly likely that it will return in halo 4(sorry spectre people). Since the revenant largely replaced the spectre during war, the possibility that it will return are pretty nonexistent at this point.

That service history doesn’t even mention the Revenant, it says that the Spectre is replaced by the Prowler. ManlyElf’s logic is flawless, yours is based around your inability to read.

If the revenant replaced the spectre then we would have seen it in halo 2 but obviously we didn’t

If I am ill informed, then why is this quote in the service record: " eventually, both were largely supplanted by the Type-48 Revenant.". I do know what I am taking about. I’m sorry about the smug thing btw.

Halo 2 is old. The revenant hadn’t been introduced into the franchise yet. I don’t claim to know everything about halo, I just quoted the website. It says that the revenant replaced the spectre and prowler, it doesn’t say why it wasn’t in halo 2/3.

Don’t look at the Spectre service history. Check out the Revenant page on this very sight. That is where the info on the Spectre page comes from.
To be fair halojoren quoting Haloedia or other wiki’s doesn’t mean the info is accurate. If you had checked the sources at the bottom of the page you would have seen the link to the Revenant page on waypoint That way you could have avoided the issue.
For the record based on the info on waypoint if any of the 3(Spectre, Prowler, Revenant) were to return the Revenant would be more likely. That said if this is a splinter group older spectres could be all they have access to.

He does have a point being it does say that although personally I don’t see how it would work. So being the sad person I am I checked the sources and one led back here to halo waypoint:
It says at the bottom: “In the end, it is <mark>probable that the Revenant will supersede</mark> the other Infantry Support Vehicles, perhaps even coming to rival the Ghost and the Wraith over time.”
It’s not definite.
