Revamp Armor Kits

Rather than being locked-in sets of armor, armor kits should just be a means of quickly swapping between pre-made and custom sets of armor.
I understand that this would require a bit of a BP rework and a bit of an HCS rework. Here’s the fix I propose:

  1. Limited armor kits. When we unlock “characters” in the battle pass, we’re actually unlocking a custom armor slot that just happens to be designed to look like the character in question. Same with when we purchase store kits.
  2. Anything that is in the kit is unlocked upon unlocking the kit, to be used across all armor.

From there, we can modify everything: armor selection, armor color, name of the kit, etc. This will allow us to quickly switch between armor presets, such as an ODST kit, rather than having to go through the armor piece by piece. AND it gives a reason to still have “kits” as individual items rather than unlimited presets, increasing the value of obtaining a kit by a large margin.

This will obviously be SLIGHTLY problematic in that the HCS kits are using what was originally the default armor and that the BP kits occasionally use pieces that cannot currently be unlocked. But that stuff should be unlockable anyway, so… kinda brought that one on yourselves.

My proposed fix for that though is to retroactively reward the players who unlocked BP kits with the rest of the components to create the Spartans they’ve unlocked (BOTH shoulders included), and change the HCS skins to use the current default armor.

Which, btw, I actually like Cavallino better than the Mk VII. It’s like the new Scout, pretty neat.

Armor kits wouldn’t of been a problem if, with the unlocking of an armor kit you also unlocked the armor pieces included in the kit.
