Why does some of the Mjolnir sets share pieces so frequently? I can count on two hands how many body pieces have the Scout shoulders, and there’s some cases where the: Deadeye, Scanner, Strider, and Locus sets have exact copies of other sets, with small paint jobs. I’m curious to know if there’s an actual reason or if they were too lazy to make new armour. And if I remember correctly from the Halo 4 LE it’s strictly forbidden to mix and match armour.
Because not every part of armor needs to be completely unique and tailored to the set’s role, and many armor sets have over-lapping roles.
Stuff like shoulder pads especially, don’t really make sense to have a lot of variation. You’re mostly just weighing protection vs ease of movement.

Well the Fotus armour is designed to interact with Forerunner tech, while Deadeye is a sniper platform. I don’t see why they’d be shared.
I don’t even think FOTUS armor is real. I mean it might be real, but most of the descriptions for it make it sound fake. Even the Halo 4 Essential Visual Guide says that it was manufactured by “343 Industries” and deployed to fetch coffee during Kirkland, Washington’s rainy season. If they gave it to DEADEYE then that could be an indication that that is what it actually is. If it still incorporates Forerunner technology then that’s because the UNSC is sticking Forerunner tech into anything they can get their hands on.
Yea I did notice this awhile back. Aand made a few threads around the place. Some armor you can really open up with what makes it.
I decided to go though every armor that originated from Halo 4 and see what forearms and legs they hsve. Cause you can do that.
Some sets that were only helmets in Halo 4 have armor that is a skin of another set.
I did go deeper adding a couple Halo 5 ones at the bottom to say what forarms and legs they use.
Only thing I know thats missing from that thread ks Cypher.
Cypher uses Scout shoulders.
Outer-Plated Legs
And Inner-plated forearms
I noticed this too, some armor sets share the exact same torso. Shoulders are understandable, a little bit. But the entire torso is pretty lazy.
