So I’m planning to return to Reach after playing H5, and have discovered that, in the bluntest (That is a word, right?) of terms, I suck hard. So, any tips to get my game back on? Much appreciated if so.
- Pace your shots with your weapons, bloom in Reach is crazy to the point you may lose 1v1’s because a bullet decided to go somewhere else instead of the head of your most hated enemy. - You can often find games quickly if you stick to Zombies, Grifball, Slayer and BTB slayer. Otherwise you may have some time to kill while waiting for a match. - With that previous point in mind, if you want to play Firefight you may not always find a full game. Someone is bound to lose connection or drop because they didn’t get the map they picked, but often times even 2 people can do fairly well. - If you use fishstick (COD) controls on Halo 5, familiarize yourself with default Reach controls. You don’t want to be backed to a corner and accidentally zoom on a person instead of punching them. - All DLC for Reach is free now, you might want to pick up the map packs for Firefight. - People say Halo Reach Legendary is similar in difficulty to Halo 2’s, so keep that in mind if you want to be daring. - Some armor can only be unlocked via the 360 Waypoint app, which requires a Xbox 360. - There are small communities that often do Reach game nights, mostly on Saturdays. With all that said, welcome to Reach and enjoy the glass.

Ive actually played Reach before and use Recon controls on H5, Defaults on Reach. I forgot about pacing, and is the Magnum any good in PvP?
There is a playlist with no bloom that may be easier for you.

The magnum is alright, good to use at range if you have only shorter ranged weapons but I would always swap it out for a DMR or Needle Rifle at least

Thanks, after H5, I end up expecting too much from my Magnum and sometimes ignore DMRs and NRs.

Yeah, its nothing like Halo 5. This one has a decent amount of spread making it harder to hit shots at a distance
