Returning Emblems?

There are few things more annoying than opening up a new Halo game and finding out one of your favorite emblems wasn’t included. So, are there any emblems you want to see in the next Halo? And if you don’t have any, make one up and tell us about it.

Above all, I want the Double Crescent to return. It was always a simple-yet-faithful emblem that was in every Halo except Halo 4. As such, I’d love for it to return.

I need my Gas Mask with Sprocket. Found a decent temporary one for H4, but I’ve been sporting that Gas Mask through H2, H3, ODST and Reach. I miss it dearly.

How about all of them? How hard could it be? They’re just emblems. Personally, I’m sorely missing the Fleur-de-lis and the Four Diamonds background.

Dude, you and me both. Double Crescent was my go-to emblem. I was disappointed it wasn’t in Halo 4.

I’d like my playing card emblems back. Specifically my spade, which was the one I used in every game up to H4.

Personally, I consistently used the Mark of Shame since the old days. Halo 4 was great and all but it almost did away with it’s roots. There wasn’t much special fan service. But 343i has heard us and they learn. With hope.

Just give me stuff I can play around with and make cool symmetrical designs with! Creative juices flow…

I’d like for my Snake emblem to return and the Halo 3 Daisho emblem

The Delta Emblem. I was extremely saddened that my emblem for 4 games was not present in Halo 4; Hopefully it returns in Halo 5: Guardians.

I don’t really understand why they take emblems out to begin with. Or the ability to use the color black outside of player traits for custom games.

I remember in Halo 2 (not sure about anything else) I could pick a rectangle where it was halved, with the line going through the top left to the bottom right corner, as my emblem background. If my Spartan was red and grey I could make it look a little bit like this…lmao.
I’d like to do that again.

I’m not sure, but I think the black armor part was because, in Halo CE, Spartans would wear black armor and would hide in shadows to avoid being seen (Don’t quote me on that). Which, to me, seems kind of stupid, considering most shadows aren’t really that dark nowadays.

Obviously, some emblems had to be omitted due to copyright issues, such as the Seventh Column and Marathon, but others were probably excluded due to time constraints, or more likely, just because. Needless to say, there aren’t many excuses for leaving out simple features aside from legal and resource issues.

Either way, Halo 4 isn’t the only game guilty of needlessly removing emblems. Correct me if I’m wrong, but weren’t the Brute and Drone heads excluded from Reach?

I think so, yeah. I can forgive the Bungie related emblems but the rest? There’s not really a good reason to exclude old emblems for the sake of putting in new ones. Which, I might add, I hardly ever saw in use during my time playing H4. It was mostly the old emblems that were in use.

Exactly. I don’t think it’s a real problem if I want to use the proper black for an emblem, do you? Is my emblem going to help me hide in the shade all of a sudden?

Obviously it won’t. Thankfully, in Halo 4, the color schemes of the emblems were considerably darker than the Spartan pallet. So Steel often looked Black, which is a start.

I hope you got I was joking.
I use steel all the time as the primary for my emblem since it did look darker after Halo 3. I think a color wheel would go a long way in Halo though; we already have a lot of options for our armor, so it couldn’t hurt.

I honestly think that ALL emblems should be brought back if possible.

As a personal preference, I would like my Drone and Buzzsaw emblems to continue to be in.

I would really like to see the following emblems return:
Cone (my Reach emblem)
Guilty (my Halo 4 Emblem paired with Vortex Emblem)
BulletProof
Septagon
Assassin
Vortex
Number Emblems
Smiley and Frown Emblems

Headshot Emblem with Circle background!
