Returning characters?

Is there a chance there will be returning characters such as whom we haven’t seen since the classics? Me personally would love to see Shipmaster Rtas Vadum back in the Halo games. Seems like he is just a forgotten character now along with Lord hood.
EDIT: It can even be characters who just appeared in gameplay. That being said, i’d like to see Sgt. Stacker back as well as some of the funny Australian & Latino marines.

I would love for Guilty Spark to be John’s new AI. He’s still alive after Halo 3 and it would be a bit of nostalgia for fans of the OT. I would also like to see more of Arbiter and Rtas.

Would be kinda cool if he tried to help take down Cortana since he seems to really hate her in CE & Halo 3.

I think theres a pretty good chance of at least a few returning characters from the original trilogy.

  • I’d like to see marines with personalities again, its been a lacking area since Halo 4. - Arbiter is a possibility, based on Halo 5’s story ending - Dare and Buck might be there since: ONI needs agents to figure out what to do now with the guardians running around and Buck was with Osiris which was with Chief at the end of Halo 5 (I don’t know the status of all the rest of Halo 3 ODST*'s* characters) - Gravemind will be a possibility if there are flood in the game (they may all have the same voice and due to the shared flood intelligence it may technically be the same character) - 2401 PT is probably dead but who knows (but he was just a side character so theres no real reason to bring him back) - Mendicant Bias might be brought into the story since he was from Halo 2 and 3 but its unlikely - The shipmaster has no lore / story reason to prevent him from being in the game as far as I know - Guilty Spark also has his own reason to be there Might think the librarian is there (installation 07 / wherever this game takes place) or he needs the humans help to find / get to them. Or he has changed his plan and just wants to help humanity. - Lord Hood probably won’t show up… - [spoiler]

  • I’m pretty sure he is still stuck on a hidden planet with an ONI high-rank agent and a bunch of AI’s from a Halo Fractures story

  • Otherwise, theres really not that many named major characters left from the original trilogy to bring back…

It’s a crime Rtas Vadum hasn’t returned yet.
Other than him I’d like to see the obvious choices in Arbiter and Atriox. I also wanna see the San Shyuum return in some fashion.

Characters I would like to return in Halo Infinite, in no particular order:

  • John 117 (Obviously) - Thel 'Vadam (I mean, it’s the Arbiter) - Rtas 'Vadum (This guy was always awesome) - Marcus Stacker (Bring back that old familiar feeling) - ‘Chips’ Dubbo (It’s a crime we’ve gone so long without him) - Tom Lasky (Underrated IMO, like Keyes) - Sarah Palmer (Come at me, bro) - Exuberant Witness (Seems a shame to leave her behind) - Edward Buck (If he’s written better than he was in Halo 5 - not a necessary reappearance though) - Veronica Dare (If she looks like Tricia Helfer) - Blue Team (Same as what I said for Buck) - The Didact (Sue me) - Roland (Wasn’t great in Halo 5, but pretty decent in Spartan Ops)Edit: Just saw that someone else already used the “It’s a crime” line. :stuck_out_tongue:

Characters that I would love to see return:

  • Chips Dubbo and the rest of the marines from the OT - The Arbiter - The Shipmaster from Halo 2 and Halo 3 - 343 Guilty Spark who could be Chief’s new AI - The Gravemind - Buck, Dare, and Romeo - Jun - Atriox - Captain Cutters - Jerome and Isabelle - Professor Anders - Exuberant Whitness - Lasky - Roland - Blue Team - Vale - TanakaI also would like to see the Flood and Prophets return as enemies.

It would be great to have the Elites that have sided with the Arbiter come and help the MC fight back against Cortana.

Obviously there is a chance to see returning characters but after seeing Buck for one in H5g, im not sure if they should return more old characters.

I would rather have good memories and re experiences than a horrible returns.

Though that doesnt mean they couldnt use some little known characters to fleshen them out or make new but similar characters like Marines with actual dialogue.

Halo Bad Blood covers this.

They’ve all been returned to service as Spartans so any of them could potentially make an appearance in Infinite. Albeit I personally don’t think the UNSC would ever let Mickey out of the cage; they certainly wouldn’t let him just return to his old unit. Especially since he really didn’t accomplish anything tangible in Bad Blood- when given the opportunity he demonstrated that he’d have no problem turning again.

I’d also hope for Arbiter & allied Elites to return as well.

Why do they keep making them Spartans? Doesn’t 343i know some people like the position they are in and don’t want to become super soldiers? I’m sure there are a LOT of ODSTs who do not want to be Spartans.

Yeah I feel you there…

Buck was at least very resistant to becoming a Spartan. Jun was portrayed in New Blood as a persistent recruiter who only wanted to recruit Buck. Bucks thing was that unless all his members from his ODST squad could become Spartans he didn’t want in. Eventually Jun offered to “Spartanage,” the entire squad and Buck sort of gave inI still think you’ve got a point - not everyone would want to become Spartans; especially ODSTs. Buck and his squad would have been perfect examples of that.
