Return to the Roots

Very hard for halo to return to its roots when it went from a First person shooter developer who had been making FPSs since the late 80s to a misfit of game developers from all sorts of genres in a newly formed company.

Well done to whoever made that decision.

it was. the xbox store literally only has 219 reviews and most of em dont even have any commentary. it means nothing

But yet one is still higher than the other.

Wym so what? Look at the comments under the game. You say there’s barely any comments under Halo 5. Which actually helps my argument. If you go to Halo infinites comments you’ll see people bashing the game in ways people haven’t in the comments under Halo 5. It’s pretty clear that infinite is a bad game. Worse than Halo 5. And if infinite is worse than Halo 5 and Halo 5 was “unpopular” then that must mean halo infinite is even more unpopular than that

…youre literally basin this offa like 200 reviews next to 16k. so that means infinite is more popular? popular doesnt mean better

Exactly 16k reviews and it’s still in the 3.0.

literally helping my argument here.

at this point i dont even get what your argument is
looks like youre just flip floppin between “halo 5 was actually popular because xbox store reviews” or “halo infinite is less popular because lower score”
or is your argument now halo 5 is better than infinite? make up your damn mind

If it has 16k reviews and still a low score than that means it wasn’t popular.

If Halo 5 had low number of reviews then it’s pretty clear people were busy playing the game and enjoying it. If it was as unpopular as people say it is then it would have more reviews

I agree for no sprint, slide, but I think that some equipements like the Grapple or Repulsor fit well in the sandbox.

yeah except no. infinite has 3 stars and 16k reviews, which aint great but it means more people on the xbox store liked it more than people who disliked it
halo 5 only has 219. popular means something is liked and well known, so infinite is more well known. you cant compare the ratings of 200 people to 16k people. 5s scored would be a whole lot different if those same 16k people rated it
not that it even matters cause its like what? 16k people outta the 20 million that installed this game? this whole argument about xbox store ratings is stupid and doesnt prove anything

Side effect of the “swarm effect” is it removed a lot of individual power ( combined with dirt easy guns that don’t let individuals stand out ) and you end up with a game akin to overwatch where it’s tilting to play because no matter how good you are you will still lose thanks to a lack of teamwork.

Because according to their market research, kids LOVE sprint, even if it doesn’t make them actually any faster. They just wanna be able to lower their guns and grunt alot while running. (This is more of a Reach meme)

I really don’t mind a Halo 3 with advanced mobility, but at least keep the sandbox decently balanced? One thing I seriously hate about Infinite was that there was no way ever that some of these guns were tested, and that irks me. It’s not even a thing about “oh you’re just not using a gun with the damage potential to duel the other guy” it’s more like “Oh, you’re just using a really really really bad gun which doesn’t even remotely function as a killing weapon, that’s why you lost the duel”

And this is in addition to the fact that desync is a major flipping problem.

this must be one of the worst and most dumb response i have ever gotten in a forum. congrats

This is THEE DUMBEST POST on the entire forums…
