Return to the original, basic Formula of Halo 1-3, no Sprint, no Abilities, just Pickups.
This is the Reason why Counter Strike is still alive. I know you have to carter the COD Kids but make Halo a unique Game again.

The sprint is fine in this game. Not too fast not too slow. There are no abilities in Infinite unless you want to count sliding, clambering and sprinting and out of those I’d remove sliding. Infinite really does feel like a sequel to 3.

Those so called 20 year old halo players have not grown up from the outdated halo 3. And those so called 20 year old halo players think that all new halos are trash because they arent a hard clone of halo 3 but with better graphics. Ill gladly be a cod fan if it means halo is fun and fast paced, and not play as a drunk robot who cannot run.

The reason people play Halo : Arena shooter, focuses on team positioning, gun duels, smooth movement and gunplay without any interruptions.
Every Halo after Reach : literally none of the above.
H4 was the closest thing to an “upgraded H3” but it ruined itself with loadouts and killstreaks.
In general 343 feels like a bunch of people who just doesn’t know what Halo is.
EDIT: actually, even H4’s 343 really didn’t know what Halo was. Wasn’t it said by Frank O connor that “we hired people who hated Halo because of X”
No wonder every game by 343 keeps trying to deviate from the original Halo combat formula and philosophy: They don’t want Halo.

Infinite literally is all of those though. Its not really the game is bad from what i read, its that the community has a blind hatred for them. If bungie decided to re release halo 3 every year for full price, and end support for last years halo 3, would bungie be so evil then? Even if halo infinite isnt this beloved “arena shooter” that you so actively defend, that is how halo USED to be. 343 isnt gonna shut down the game and remake it because some immature keyboard warriors think that it isnt halo. I just really dont understand how the sluggish and slow movement of halo 3 is so amazing that halo fans think we should be limited to it until they stop making halos. I think its just an excuse to complain about the game. Id think, if halo 3 is so amazing and halo infinite is so trash, why not go play that game then? Oh i get it. You think halo 3 is boring too, and to appeal to the 343 bad cult, spread negativity around the community.

I think this is part of the reason the game is struggling so bad. There is a very vocal minority of Halo fans that seem to have successfully browbeaten 343 into giving us what is essentially Halo 3.5… That’s really all Infinite is when you stop and think about it.
I fully support there being that outlet for these folks, I myself enjoy it on occasion. Heck, give it the “Competitive” title and all, I don’t really care.
But when that is all your game is, man does it get old. I find myself doing the same couple strategies every game, like working the BR spawn and covering AR teammates… etc etc Every game feels exactly the same. The small map pool doesn’t help either.

As a huge monstrous fan of H3, I completely disagree. I want them to iterate, add, change, and improve. Imo that’s basically what Infinite is. Another iteration away from Reach/H4 and in the direction of H3 and H5.
Pumped for improvements, bit the direction if Infinite’s gameplay is great

What are you rambling about? The older games are objectively faster, and require more skill and a high IQ to play. The newer games are dumbed down, and it literally tells you when the power ups and weapons spawn. It’ll even tell you where the flag carrier is.
It’s no longer just Slayer or Ctf
“Kill everything that moves and try not die”.
“Capture the enemy flag but don’t neglect ours”.
343 admits that their nufanbase is unintelligent and has to give all the bks an “AI” to tell them what to do.
You didn’t have to say you’re a cod fan. We already knew.

I feel that Infinite is the perfect return to Halo’s roots.
A blend of Halo 2 and 5.
But not Halo 3. I really did not like that one at all. Slow and boring.
