This is a personal request as an avid vehicle player.
Please allow the driver to see the shield strength and health condition of the passengers. This was big in halo CE and I would love to see its return. I have always enjoyed vehicular gameplay and would love to see improvement.
Now I know my voice alone is small and I am aware to the extremely high chance that my thoughts do not impact the game; however I enjoy the game to a high measure and thus have my own views of what I would like to see improved.
Also, being able to see vehicle Health on the HUD would be amazing.
Health regenerates which is probably why it was big in CE seeing as it didnt then, you’re only gong to get to see full health bars most (all) of the time. You can just take a brief look at the guy and see if their shields are glowing bright yellow or flashing with little sparks all over them. Besides, with the seat swap we now have its up to the gunner to swap to passenger seat if they lose their shields.
If the hog is full then there is nothing you can do about it with the battle rifle shtstorm on every btb/warzone map. Cant take 20 steps without being crossmapped and being in a warthog turret just paints a ginormous “shoot me every player in the game, please” over their head.
It was a very nice feature in the first game, which I personally loved, I can see the need for it in vehicles like tanks and wraiths but of mongooses and warthogs it’s now useless. One look at their shields and you can easily tell, health regenerates ever since CE (exception being reach, but I never liked that multiplayer…) it’s not really needed now. Not that it wouldn’t be welcomed, but… Yeah.

I think the hog turret should have more frontal cover for the gunner, this way the only way to get any hit mark on a gunner from the back is by hitting the head. This might help a little, but as it is now it actually isn’t hard for a skilled player to pick off an average gunner, even in the face of gunfire.

All the big maps (Warzone and btb) are not designed for vehicles and therefore make them vulnerable to basic infantry.
The same reason why we have the shield bar on our HUD. Yes I can just look at my characters shield flare but I don’t have too which is a neat feature. The same neat feature would be to have updated driver controls such as seeing my passengers health/shields.
Yes! Im always driving a warthog around and it sucks that I cant see how my team is doing. Sure there are visual qeues like their shield popping off but Id like to know if theyre on the verge of death or not before driving back out
