I would like Halo Infinite to include some older weapons, vehicles, and weapons to allow for more diverse encounters. I would not mind weapon and vehicle variants returning but not at the expense of older weapons and vehicles from returning.
Vehicles that I would like to return include; Elephant, Hornet, Falcon, Spectre, Chopper, Troop Transport Hog, Revenant, etc.
Vehicles that were previously not drivable would be a nice addition in some capacity like the Scarab and Shadow
Weapons that I would like to return include; Brute Shot, Plasma Rifle, Sticky Detonator, Incendiary Grenade, Flamethrower, etc.
Enemies that I would like to return include; Drones, Brutes, Skirmishers, Enforcer, and Sentinels.
Perhaps the Flood could return if it made sense within the story or just include them in a Firefight mode.
I would like the Crawlers to crawl on the walls and ceilings again to make them to stand out more.
Maybe include the Sharquoi for the first time as a new enemy.

Yes! I want these back very badly.

No, drones can -Yoink- off forever. I never enjoyed fighting them.
While I certainly would like most former enemies to return and would like to see some weapons and vehicles return, I don’t want quantity to come at the cost of quality. The Halo sandbox has had serious problems with redundant clones in the sandbox that don’t offer little more than different visuals.
If you want to add some of the less interesting weapon and vehicles post launch than go nuts, but for launch I don’t want to see limited slots taken filled by the less diverse offerings. The devs have only so much time and resources to put into creating and balancing the sandbox that we need to be selective, at least at first.

I agree that it should be quality over quantity but I would like a bit more diversity. It is sad that aerial vehicles do not require much cooperative play since the Falcon and Hornet have been absent. Ground vehicles are more cooperative but even then it is limited since the Warthog is the primary cooperative vehicle. The Prowler and Spectre provided a bit of a change in gameplay rather than a Warthog battling another Warthog. I prefer different vehicles rather than several variants of the same vehicle.
It is true that the developers have only so much time but Halo Infinite is taking longer to develop than Halo 4 and Halo 5. Plus, they can look at the previous Halo games to see how they were balanced since they would not be creating a brand new weapon, vehicle, or enemy.

I absolutely agree that I would rather have different vehicles than variants(which I assume refers to Oni and Hannibal type variants rather than say Gauss and rocket hog). That being said a lot of that “diversity” seems pretty superficial a lot of the time. Frankly I see the Prowler and Spectre design wise to be some of the worst examples being little more than the Covenant/Brute “Warthog”. I much prefer just to have the Revenant that either of the other two. Same goes for the Hornet to be honest in spite of the side seats as it still follows the Banshee model with the standard model and if its just going to be the Avalanche type without the missiles then I think focusing solely on the Falcon is just has a much greater potential.
Regardless of whether they are working from an existing archetype, it still is going to take a not insignificant amount of time to build and balance even existing vehicles around any changes and additions, especially with a new engine. Room still needs to be left for new weapons and vehicles as well. The sandbox needs to be mechanically diverse sandbox that fills the basic requirements for the sandbox without flooding it with slight variations of existing archetypes.
Well one of the things I would like to see eventually is all the assets from the past halo games be transferable to the current one. But remember that each Halo game was a different game all together, I think only H3 and ODST shared the same engine. But I am also a sucker for asymmetrical reflections in the games. I would like to see the Big 4 (UNSC Covenant, Flood, Forerunner) have a proportionate amounts of weapons, vehicles and NPCs with each other in an inventory system that can still be effectively managed. I would like to have all grenades but I think having only 2 choices of grenade types helps in that system. I would love to see a transport hog in multiplayer but in order for it to be not an enemy killtacular on wheels is that the maps have to be larger and either the player count is increased or AI is added in. I would also like to see more UNSC vs covenant in multiplayer with a sprinkling of the flood and forerunners as neutral NPCs that can block off jungle paths.
Introduce Pelicans and Phantoms as drivable drop ships in MP lol. We’ve been waiting for 18 years.
It would actually be pretty balanced, kinda like the Falcons in halo reach. Examples of balancing that could work are:
- The person on the turret can only cover a certain area such as only 160 degrees of both axis- Wide bullet spread- less damage for longer ranges - The vehicle is slow and can easily be shot down by a high powered artillery or power weapon. I.e. Spartan laser 2 shots, Scorpion and rocket launcher 4 shots with slight emp effect, rocket thog 6 sets but less sets to damage/kill passengers. And just for the hell of it, maybe a plasma pistol can increase damage done to vehicle by 10% - Boost should be an ability however should only be similar to a wraith. Enough to barely dodge a spartan laser when well timed.

I would prefer to keep them as NPCs much like a Scarab (or a Vulture if they come into play). It would be neat if we spawn in them and spawn campers will have to deal with the weapons fire from a drop ship as we enter a Hot LZ. However they could still be shot down it just doesn’t harm the players inside.
Now the Spirit I could see as a pilotable vehicle much as a counterpart to the UNSC Falcon, or something similar. The way I see is that the falcon as a medium air transport that can hold quite a few infantry, the Covenant could have a medium transport that holds a vehicle. Pick up a fully loaded specter, drop it behind the enemy base.

The Troop Transport Hog is fine because it wouldn’t cost much time or resources to make it as it’s just another variation of the Warthog, but I don’t see any reason for them to create both the Spectre and the Revenant. That seems redundant.
It would be cool to drive the Scarab, but then the enemies would need to be upscaled as well. What would need to be sacrificed in order to pull this off properly? I like the Shadow, but again, it comes back to my point about the Spectre and Revenant being in the same game. Pick one.
The Plasma Rifle needs to return. It’s wrong that such a classic Halo weapon was replaced by something as monstrous and overdesigned as the Storm Rifle. The Incendiary Grenade (AKA Fire Bomb) in Halo 3 never did much for me. I actually find Halo 5’s Splinter Grenade to be a much better replacement. The Sticky Detonator was a cool idea. I’d like to see an improved version of that.
No disputes regarding the enemies. I’d be happy to see them all again as well.
