So does anyone think Spirit of Fire should reappear in Halo 4? Think about it, it’s the one ship everyone knows about besides Pillar of Autumn.
Imagine the chief gets backed against a cliff, surrounded by baddies. And just before they finish him off, a barrage of Archer missiles clear him a path. Suddenly the camera pans toward this new ally, and he sees a fleet of Navy ships, with the familiar bulk of the Spirit of Fire as their flagship. And the Chief’s comm crackles to life, “…this is Captain Cutter of the UNSC Spirit of Fire: I see we made it just in time. Chief I am sending you a squad for evac…”.
Anyone else have an opinion?

Chief should say, “I could have gotten out of this just fine.”
Then he goes crazy and kills all the baddies.
I think Frankie said a while ago that they have no plans to make any new stories involving the Spirit of Fire. I do think it would be great for their return, but it’s unlikely.

If not Halo 4, somewhere along the storyline…
When you beat Halo Wars, you see SOF slowly heading home. But by beating the game on Legendary, you get a bonus. An ominous message from the AI: “Captain. Wake up. Something’s happened.”. This could be used in Halo 4.
“What?”, asks Cutter, “more Covenant?”. “Negative sir, I am receiving a friendly distress signal. Scanning…UNSC Forward Unto Dawn. Do you wish to investigate?”. The captain decides to wake the crew. Little did he know what awaited him.

I don’t know, I didn’t really enjoy that crew as much, plus they added 3 spartans that had no mention before, and I just wasn’t as interested in the Halo Wars story as much as the other games, therefore, it would make me not want to have Spirit of Fire appear again unless its in a Halo Wars 2.

This is perfectly possible. After all, Spirit of Fire is currently MIA after starting it’s return journey. Who knows what happened to it? It could be anywhere. Would make sense for them to show up in 4 as they have previous experience with shield worlds. Perhaps after discovering the first, they began a project to track them all down and they know a vast amount about them. I can see a scene in halo 5 too, where Anders meets Halsey and they are chattering away on the back of a transport-hog as chief is driving and red team follows in another warthog, on their way to some forerunner secret that has been discovered. SoF follows in the sky.

If you have ever read Ghosts of Onyx, Halsey and a squad are trapped in one of the books version of a shield world. Unless they plan to put a rescue mission in the trilogy, I don’t see this happening.
