Return of the Scarab Plasma Rifle

I know it’s silly but it was still a neat little cool feature I still enjoy from Halo 2. It was fun, surprise and good to muck around with.
I just thought it would be cool to see it make an appearance again, or have it as a fun thing in forge.

As long as this game has easter egg surprises or just general “off path” treasures I’d be happy.

It was a blast getting that thing the first time with my friend. I highly doubt they would ever put that gun or anything like it, into the multilayer sandbox but I’d love to see an equally or perhaps even harder easter egg show up somewhere in H5’s campaign. Even something like the covenant dance club easter egg from Halo Reach would be cool.

I certainly wouldn’t expect it in any competitive multiplayer, just a good muck around is what I’m hoping for haha

Most likely if at least a forge only weapon

They should have it as something that is unlocked for completing the campaign on legendary

Not only for fun but would introduce some interesting player made maps or gametypes.

That would certainly be awesome!

Or as a skull in halo 5 (obviously can’t be used for LASO)

If they implemented it like they did in Halo 2, that would be absolutely perfect. An easter egg that’s hard to obtain, and within the campaign, seems the best option for doing something like this.

In addition, I see no reason not to add it to forge.

Yeah, I really hope they bring back more of the whacky fun, the elaborate easter eggs, and the scavenger hunt stuff again. I was sad about the lack of skulls to hunt in the last 2 games, and Halo 4 had almost nothing at all that I’m aware of to find :s They even took out all humor and made it way too serious. The cinematic, always-moving-forward movie approach was kind of cool in one sense, but they focused in so much on that they the exploration and sheer fun were left out. As far as side-activities went was finding terminals, and it wasn’t as fun or interesting in 4. The skulls, Scarab gun, Reach dance club, ranting grunts, insane marines and stuff like that were amazing, hilarious, and should absolutely make a return.

I loved playing through Halo 4 but I agree that it felt empty at times with some of the extra’s like that. Think they may have had terminals but it needed a combination of various things, possible a new humour character to substitute Johnson, would have broken it up a bit. In saying that I didn’t mind the seriousness. Could have had both.
