High resolution screen captures from the Making Halo 4: Return of the Forerunners BTS. My usual source for screen captures (xJumper) posted a collection of 35 high resolution screen captures on his minus account. You can view his collection here. I decided 35 was slacking due to the huge amount of content in this video and decided to upload 65 of my own screen captures. They are slightly less sharp than xJumper’s quality but make up for it in quantity. My screen captures are organized below and you can view the full collection here.
Does this mean our weapons are going to appear in the cutscene like in Halo 2?
Also, does Chief with Boltshot mean our weapons are going to carry over like in Halo 2/Halo 3? Because I could have sworn the level in that screenshot was the one that was represented in E3… and I hated how Reach always gave me a crap loadout at the start of a level or after a cutscene. The lack of weapon carry-over was also disappointing.
Not a cutscene - just in-game shots of the Master Chief holding Forerunner weaponry. Probably taken in theater mode. What you cannot see from the screenshot is the camera circling the Master Chief, checking out the weapon.
“The big difference is that the Covenant are tactical, while the Prometheans are more strategic in a sense that they can enforce and multiply when least expected. Since the Covenant and Prometheans are working together, there can be a situation when you’re fighting a Covenant squad when all of a sudden a Promethean launcher shows up to turn the tide of battle. Also, hiding behind cover may not work when fighting them, because their crawlers can climb over cover and flush you out.”
The highlighted may explain this to a degree. At the same time, we saw Prometheans fighting against Elites in the vidoc. Working together may just mean that both enemy types are fighting against Humanity. Also - considering how advanced the Forerunners are, they should be able to pick up and utilize any type of weaponry.

Ok, thanks.
> Knight 8 is holding a plasma pistol…alright, im officially confused.
Maybe they can pick up dropped weapons? Maybe their gun can be shot out of their hand?
I hope it has to do with advancement in intelligence or improvising. Enforcers did it too, when their armaments were destroyed, they used an invisible sentinel beam.
> thank you very much.
> these certainly do give way to the idea that Halo 4 is the most artistic and graphic-rearing Halo game yet. w00t!
You’re welcome. The screen captures from A Hero Awakens and the Magic Behind Halo 4 demonstrate 343 Industries’ amazing work as well. They are doing a phenomenal job with Halo 4 artistically.
Those are some awesome screens. That Promethean Knight/ Watcher combo looks like it’ll be a major pain in the -Yoink- the first few DOZEN times around.
Side note: Whenever I see the Promethean Knights I instantly think of Starscream for some reason.
